My family originally hails from the Basque Country and from Catalunya. My great-grandfathers moved to Asturias in the early 20th. century and settled in Llanes. When my maternal great grandparents got married, they moved to Oviedo and there's where I was born.

I've lived almost all my life in Oviedo, Principado de Astruias, Spain. I also lived in Madrid for a while when in college, I spent a year as an exchange student in Puerto Rico and then I moved across the Atlantic to East Lansing, MI, USA and lived there for 2 years. I'm currently based in Madrid once again, because of my work. But I visit Oviedo almost every month.

Anyway, I was born in Sandy Springs, Georgia(actually in Shallowford Community Hospital in Chamblee, but that's not the point) and lived there until about February of 1988, at which point my family moved to Middletown, Ohio.

We stayed there until July of 2000, when we moved to Oxnard, California, where we stayed until July/August of 2002, at which point we moved to Colorado, where we've been bouncing around a wee bit but always within a sixty mile radius of Bailey. (And most of the time far closer than that. The only place we lived at for a year that even pushed that number beyond maybe three miles was when we lived with my Aunt Linda in Lakewood.)

I didn't realize a country had to be recognized by you before it exists, I thought the UN or some other international organization was enough. (actually I'm not sure, what does a country have to do in order to be a country?) To bad the world doesn't conform to your worldview then.

Gravesend isn't too bad if you stay away from the Denton bit and the chavs on Perry Street are quite good as they seem to disappear at 9pm. And its also good as there are places to escape to such as Bluewater or even Rochester. Luckily I'm in London now so I'm fine. At least its not as bad as Chatham.

no i don't mean real pipe bands, i mean ones recorded on tape, and not always pipe bands either. Alot of the music was old folks singing about love or bloody Lock bloody Lomand, or how beautiful the hills are.
Actual Pipe band music would be a nice change, at least the stuff you'd listen to would vary a little.
