Any of the following sequals? their are some big movies coming out this summer but most of them seem to be follow-ups to something Hollywood's done before. Seems that happens a lot these days, doesn't it? any way, given the frequent unpopularity of sequals, is any one here going to see these films?

Man, I go out to the theaters once every blue moon. :p

You don't watch movies?! Infidel!:D
Seriously, I'll see them all, if I have time. I expect at lest some of them will be good, though X-Files will likely be killed by fans who's expectations were some how not met.

No, I watch movies, I just get 'em on Netflix or see them at a friend's place. I dunno, going the theater isn't really big for me.

The poll confuses me, since I don't know yet. I will in all likelihood see Batman, because I have been told it's a very dark film with a very dark bad guy (and the more depth a bad guy has, the better, IMHO).
Maybe Indiana Jones, just for the fun of it. The other ones I'm not gonna be spending money on.

Not the X-Files, but I'll definitely be watching the others. Not so keen on Narnia, but eh, it's OK. It will be interesting to see whether Lucas has given us a second Temple of Doom or whether Communists are an adequate substitute for Nazis, so I'll be watching Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. And I enjoyed Batman Begins, so I'll be watching The Dark Knight.
And I will definitely be watching The Golden Army. I have been waiting for that movie for something like a year now. It is by del Toro and it has elves in it and it has Hellboy in it. It is mine, my own, my precioussss!

1st X-Files movie I found dull and, if anything, it was the final straw that stopped me watching the TV show.
Batman movie? dunno, maybe. truth be told, I haven't even watched the 1st one yet. I did have it on DVD and watched the first 30 minutes but it failed to impress and I lent it to someone and now can't remember who. But then again, in the sequel they filmed some here in HK and a friend had a walk-on part. So I might just go to see if I can spot him.
Hell-Boy? definitely. Liked the first movie immensely and with del Toro directing again, I'm expecting good things. Also, I really like Ron Perlman as an actor. It was inspired casting him in that role.
Narnia? probably do what I did with the 1st movie (and ahem, *cough* d/l *cough*)
Indiana Jones? Most likely. It looks good. But I do have reservations - mainly that each movie in the line was progressively worse than the one before. I hope they've realised their mistakes and stuck with the basics.
I might go see The Dark Knight in theatres, but odds are I will be waiting for all of these films to be released on DVD.
I'll probably never bother to see the X-Files sequel...never bothered with the show, haven't seen the first movie.
They made a sequel to Hellboy? I thought the first one sucked, but meh...

Wait...you thought Temple of Doom was better than The Last Crusade?
Why???

Cause it had a fairly strong female role in it and didn't have Sean Connery hamming it up.

I personally thought Kate Capshaws performance in ToD was the single worst thing about the film.
Connery wasn't great, but wasn't terrible...and I thought he and Ford worked well together.

Wait...I was getting confused there. It's been years since I saw them.
Raiders of the Lost Ark had the good female lead. Temple of Doom had the sucky, whiny, irritating, screamy one.
Did not like ToD. But I still thought Connery hammed it up too much for my liking.

I'll probably see them all but I can't say I'm especially looking forward to doing so

OK, that makes much more sense. :p
I'll watch them in a few years when they're on TV; or perhaps in the very, very unlikely case someone drags me to a cinema.
i haven't the slightest idea if i will. i'm mean you never know where someone might drag me, if their paying for it. but i don't expect to see any of them, and i'm damd sure not planning on going out of my way to do so.
i get more out of looking for archives of train pictures on the net.
i really feel no incentive to subsidise the corporate entertainment industry.
and damd sure not at the rates of what their charging to see movies these days.
i'll wait till their so old they've been forgotten and nobody cares about them any more and then borrow the dvds, or whatever media they'll be on by then, that i have a way of viewing by then, from the local public library, if they should happen to get them in, and if they THEN, look like anything i'd be remotely interested in.
some of the titles do look vaguely interesting, but there ain't no way i'm gonna pay what movie houses are charging these days to find out if they turn out to be worth a dam.

Hellboy, Batman would be a yes. I was not impressed at all with the last Indiana Jones... Narnia...I read the books a few times as a lad, and would prefer they stay in my head that way for now. I got sick of the x-files conspiracy shite. I always preferred the episodes that weren't related to any of that "smoking man" stuff.

I will watch none of them, I don't like any of the previous films, so it doesn't seem a prudent investment:)
i think the indy jones one, if when it comes out on dvd, is the only one of those mentioned that looks remotely interesting. those were mostly fun, the ones i have seen. although there was something, that wasn't an indy jones, that i think of as a little like them that i liked even better, that was called romancing the stone.
i don't care for the christer overtones and some of the other things in the jones ones, but they don't really take away from what i do like about them, basically the stunts and efects and the scenery.
(but i'm still not gonna pay ten bux or more, whatever it is they charge, to see it in a damd movie house these days)
