After a bad attack of spyware and a browser hijacking that took over 14 hours to clear up (including 2.5 hours spent by my computer-geek boyfriend), I have a functioning computer again. I have also been dragged (initially kicking and screaming) over to Firefox. At first I thought I would hate it since I came from IE7, but it's really grown on me.
What browsers do you use, NSG? I'm expecting mostly Firefox, but I want to know if there's anything I'm missing out on.

I used Firefox briefly when IE6 was still out. IE7 and Firefox are very similar interfaces, so I'm more comfortable with it now.

As to the lack of poll: I don't know my browsers well enough. Plus I have a memo for chem e lab III due in two days that I really should be writing right now ... :p

Firefox with NoScript and Adblock Plus. Can't live without 'em.

Also, use a hosts file:

I use Firefox, except for pages (such as NS...) that I can't view well (or at all) on it (usually due to non-adapted pages).

Goddamned Apple downloaded that to my PC the other day. Probably serves me right for having iTunes.

I use sea monkey. It's made by the people who created Firefox (linux), and is formatted similarly. I think it's formatted exactly like Mozzila, which linux made before Firefox.:)

The Linux kernel developers didn't create Firefox.

Netscape Communications released the source code to Netscape and named the open source version Mozilla.

Mozilla was a whole application suite, web browser, email client, chat client and more. Many considered this too bloated so the Mozilla Foundation made a more lightweight application that was only the web browser part of Mozilla and named it Firefox.

The Mozilla Foundation eventually abandoned Mozilla entirely to focus on Firefox but users who still preferred Mozilla and had the source code since it's open source continued to develop it under the name Seamonkey.

Yeah, I'm a Firefox fanboy.

Konqueror, bitches.

When on Windows, I use Firefox 3. It doesn't suck as hard as 2 did.

Still using IE. Haven't found a reason to switch yet.

Firefox and Konqueror (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/konqueror) (mostly for FISH (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Files_transferred_over_shell_protocol), which is pretty much the best thing ever.)
