Any colombians here? Wondering how things are in Colombia these days? My friend in Colombia asked to visit but I am not sure I should go because of the kidnappings and the narco terrorist people. Wondering if they are really a big problem there.

I was told that the kidnappings aren´t a threat if you stay in the city. If by narco terrorists you´re referring to the FARC, well, that´s still a problem, but all in all, traveling to Colombia isn´t dangerous.

I'm not certain there's much to see in Colombia beside the massive drug trade.

Colombia is a lot safer now than it was a few years ago. That being said, it is still far, far from safe.

US Immigration laws may not be racist but they are certainly classist.
Western Europe's people and Japan's people can travel to US with mere passports while everyone must pay up to $5,000 for a Visa. A couple of Visa's actually cost $500,000. I think those prices are intended so that only rich can enter the US.

To summarize: If you very rich, America wants you. If poor you scum and don't bother coming. US Immigration Policy sucks.

And that's only recently. Prior to three years ago, you also needed a visa going from Europe to the US, IIRC.

Or maybe it was a deal that lasted longer than that, idk, in any case, it is kinda nice being able to visit the US with only a passport, though I can understand why other countries who aren't part of it aren't too happy.

I've had mixed experienced. First time I went there was absolutely horrible, with some kind of semi-fascist woman asking me all types of weird questions.

Second time was pleasantly nice, with a very kind man being very helpful and generally kind.

Third time didn't really go one way or another.

yo no hable espanol y ella no hable ingles. :(

I only couple of words from using google translation to talk to her.
The only words in english she seems to know is I love you and bye
That's funny cause how do you love someone you never met? LOL
Maybe she not understand what the words mean. LOL

and google garbles the translation but it is effective enough that we can communicate

I know its a she cause showed me her on her webcam and in her picture with her mother and her sister at some party place. I sent her my pic and now she talking she want to marry.

Wrong. Have you looked at photos of Colombia. The country´s majestic countryside´s breathtaking. Cartagena de Indias is a gorgeous costal town. You´re just circumscribing to the metropolis. Drug isn´t the only thing that needs to be said about Colombia. Going there has the same risks you would have from going to NY or Madrid.

I suggest using this translator, it is the best one I've found:

Um, yeah, I had heard that Colombia is one of the most dangerous countries to live in/travel to other than active war zones. Just what I heard though.

I won't be able to visit her this year because I have too much to going on with work. I buy women's undergarments for $4 a lot (lot holds from 3 to 6 items) and I turn around and sell each component of the lot for $30 to $40 a peice.
I'm in the middle of hiring a model and a bunch of saleswomen. And I'm planning on extending it into clubwear.
