Copycat items have popped up on eBay, including cornflakes shaped like Hawaii and Virginia.

Does anyone else see the problem with this???

Yeah. Do you know how difficult it's going to be to find a Colorado?

What's the coin by the cornflake? Is that like a peculiarly large cornflake or a reasonable sized cornflake.

Cos if it's a large Illinios-Shaped cornflake then I can see why it's worth it.

I laughed when I read the article. I have hundreds of cornflakes that look exactly like that, but instead of going on Ebay, then go into my mouth. Strange that anyone would pay that much when they could find a cornflake just like it with a couple of hours, a big box of cornflakes, and a bowl.

A dime is approximately 3/4 of an inch in diameter.
19 millimeters across, roughly.

Given enough time I'm sure you could put together a fair size "corn flake jigsaw puzzle of the United States and sell it for 52 times the price of Colorado. :p

I wonder how much my quadruple Miniwheat would fetch.

Even better is the 2-in-1 Froot by the Foot I got once. Alas, I opened it and have no way to prove it is what I claim. I still have it though. But it really is a damn shame I opened it. Gotta be like 100000000:1 for that. *laments*

It's such a stupid bid that it will get lots of publicity. That is the cheapest mass advertising campaign that site has ever purchased.

Well, while your at it you should also start scrutinizing everything as the mind sees what it wants and can be very easily fooled.

On that note, that cornflake looks nothing like Illinois. Besides, I got a story that can top that cornflake one.

Many many years ago, I was visiting family and happen to find a piece of chipped wood on the ground that looked exactly like the state of Tennessee. Which was odd, because at the same time I was reading a book about Tennessee and the piece of chipped wood matched the picture of Tennessee in the book completely. To drive you all even more nuts, the family I was visiting at the time lived in Tennessee. Even my family couldn't believe their eyes when I showed this piece of chipped wood to them. Sadly, a few days later I lost track of the object and to this day still don't know what happen to it.

Some of you might think the above story is BS, but it's completely true and to this day is one of the weirdest things I have ever seen and encountered. I just wish I had thought to take a picture of it before I lost it. I wonder how much that thing would be worth today if I had managed to keep track of it?

in the morning i eat the world, country by country, you could make a religion out of it, the breakfast religion where cornflakes are the central icon to eat at every sermon, then a few belgian waffles for those who don't like the cornflakes.

that is ridiculous, really unfair i want that money, i need that money and some bastard decides a little flake is worth more to spend on...
