Spring is here, a-suh-puh-ring is here.
Life is skittles and life is beer.
I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring.
I do, don't you? 'Course you do.
But there's one thing that makes spring complete for me,
And makes every Sunday a treat for me.

All the world seems in tune
On a spring afternoon,
When we're poisoning pigeons in the park.
Every Sunday you'll see
My sweetheart and me,
As we poison the pigeons in the park.

When they see us coming, the birdies all try an' hide,
But they still go for peanuts when coated with cyanide.
The sun's shining bright,

We've gained notoriety,
And caused much anxiety
In the Audubon Society
With our games.
They call it impiety
And lack of propriety,
And quite a variety
Of unpleasant names.
But it's not against any religion
To want to dispose of a pigeon.

So if Sunday you're free,
Why don't you come with me,
And we'll poison the pigeons in the park.
And maybe we'll do
In a squirrel* or two,

We'll murder them all amid laughter and merriment,
Except for the few we take home to experiment.

Meh. Looks the same as yesterday, and the forecasters say that for the second day of spring, we will have: snow!

My spring plan is to just enjoy the nice weather. Assuming that I get over this (expletive deleted) cold that's bothering me, and assuming that we GET nice weather. Right now, both seem doubtful. :(

Me no gets... Isn't it enough that we have days, weeks, months, years to do all kinds of planning for? Do we need seasonal planning as well? Should there really be one thing to concentrate on per season? Aw, me already gots enough problems planning one day ahead... :(

i order 4 tons of riverrock yesterday for landscaping around my house. im putting a 3 foot wide ring around the parts that dont have patio/porch and putting in a few walkways.

i have hydrangeas coming in the mail. should be here today or tomorrow.

i have to get on the stick and fertilize the lawn and the roses.

I think sorting my life out is in order or maybe I will just waste the sunshine drinking like I always do

Pies is short for Magpies.

Ah! Teams named for birds are not unusual (I am familiar with the "Blue Jays", the "Orioles", etc.) but it did not occur to me that "Pies" was referring to the birds, I thought your team was named for pastry, which would be a bit odd.

I'll probably take a visit home, do some work on an essay then ponder my next move.

Projected Spring activities:

Spend Easter with my son and daughter.
Go to baseball games (Colorado Rockies :D).
Get my daughter's stuff all together in one place, ship her off to Officer's Training School in Alabama and ship her stuff off to her first posting in Mountain Home, Idaho.
Clean the house from top to bottom after she leaves.

Well, I don't get very far right now. It's snowing up here, and my arm is still mostly broken. I plan to enjoy the season by getting better!
