Which Guitar Hero game do you like the most? (Or hate the least?) I say GH2, some truly awesome songs.

GH2 was the best, but I liked some of the features in GH3, like being able to visually know when you can do hammer ons, etc.

I've never played Rock Band, but I hear it is easy, which wouldn't make it very fun, other than the fact that you get to play with friends like that.

Where is the option "Guitar Hero sucks and people should spend their time learning a real instrument?"

Not everyone can play an instrument. Some people just don't have the time. :(

yeah but it takes time to get good at guitar hero, and it's nothing like playing the guitar either, so you might as well learn to play the guitar.

If you spend a half hour a day playing guitar hero (which is a lot less than most people I know spend playing it) than you could stop playing guitar hero and spend that half hour learning to play the guitar. It would be rather effective.

Yes, but does a regular guitar tell you that "you Rock!". I rest my case.

For me rock band is more fun, because without friends those games are boring and stale.

I know several folks who play GH and were inspired to learn actual Guitar. I play Piano a tad, but I don't have a knack for guitar, nor do I even really want to learn.

Just because someone plays GH doesn't make them a "guitar playing poseur", it just means they like the game, like the songs, etc.

If I recall, they have that in GH2, but because of the different design, it isn't as visible.

Apparently some one decided to stop being a Toys'R'Us kid and shove a stick up their ass.

I don't like any of the Guitar Hero games. I have way too much respect for the guitar.

I prefer Rockband over Guitar Hero. You get drums, a mic and a guitar, over just a guitar, and the character customization is far superior. You can play with four people instead of two, so it is ideal for small parties :) Not to mention, Rockband has a lot of really good songs in it.

Thats like saying why do you play Halo all day long when you could spend the same time and join the Army and do the real thing. Or playing a flying game and chastizing the person for playing that game instead of going out and getting a pilots licence. Its a silly point.

Plastic toy guitar= game
Real guitar = Hobby

If your looking to play a game choose the former, if your looking for a hobby or a job play the latter.
