Where should I go?
Originally, I was going to go to the Philippines this October, but obviously, that isn't happening anymore (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=551758).
I'd still like to take a trip somewhere, though. I just can't decide where. I've been thinking of Kenya a lot.
Any ideas?

Thailand is pretty sweet. Or Israel. Or Singapore. Just don't spit out your gum on the street there. Or dirty up a public toilet. Seriously.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Oh, and believe me, if I did go to Singapore, I would not do those things. I don't fancy being caned. :p

I've been planning on going to the São Paulo gay parade (sorry hun I'm straight) which could be fun and at least involving Brazil
or you could just go to Europe and have NS tell you where to go

Europe's probably too pricey for my budget.

I have my reasons for always suggesting Spain...
And being able to speak Spanish is not one of them, 'cause I can't.

Don't get me wrong, Spain is a beautiful country that I would visit in a heartbeat...provided I spoke Spanish. :(

I would suggest somewhere the USD is still strong. So third world South America, Africa, or Central Asia would be the best.

Can't, even if I wanted to (which I don't).

Well you can still come here, y'know. We have ~45 million more women. :p Well, 'side from that, you can actually get more bang for the buck - it's really cheap to live here for any visitor... except if you will go to pricey places, that is...

Kenya is very cool and the people are friendly. However with the recent violence there I don't know if it is a good idea. Thailand is nice too. I haven't been there in 25 years so not sure how it is now. Has anyone suggested Brazil? Costa Rica or Panama are always fun too.

Actually, that's one of the reasons I planned to go. I read that most tourists are steering clear of the country, which means I could have a lot of national parks pretty much to myself. That, and things have settled down now.

Come to Australia. Now's a good time - temperatures are dropping, but it's still fine and pleasent. We've got the best beaches on earth, lots to see, and everybody speaks something recognizably close to english.

They are. Longer, thicker and tastier. And contrary to what many people believe, churros aren´t from Mexico. They´re originally from Seville.

Makes sense, but apart from changes of that kind, are they similar in the ingredients? Am I still getting the cinnamon sugar inside it?

Yes, escentially. The best is to order them when they have been just made and dunk them on a cup of thick, steaming hot cocoa.

Eat when fresh, eh? Kinda like a Baguette or a Croissant or really any kind of baked good.
Cocoa does sound like a good idea to go with it though.

If you want to go somewhere outside the US, my daughter tells me that Italy is wonderful. The countryside is beautiful, the towns and cities are old and, in most parts, quite picturesque, the food is wonderful, the people friendly and Italian men actually like women. She does warn, however, that Italian drivers are dangerous. They have what she calls "cockroach cars" meaning that they are small and there are many of them all seeming to crawl over each other. Traffic lights are considered a suggestion and frequently disregarded and the chief means of communicating intended actions is through frequent and loud use of horns. If a pedestrian gets hit and actually saw the car that hit him/her, the accident is considered to be the pedestrian's fault. Aside from this, and the Italian male's predilection for pinching any female that comes within reach (no, it's not a myth, it really happens), she considers Italy to be the best place she visited in Europe.

Go to Antarctica. Bring a boomerang. Stand about 25 feet from the South Pole astride the International Date Line. With some practice, you can throw it with your left hand and catch it with your right hand...exactly one day after you throw it! :D
