I just received word that I now have a contact to help me with my missionary work. Evidently the guy is planning on doing long term mission work, just like me, and is excited to see I am wanting to do that. Woohoo! Just what I have been waiting on for a long time now! :)

So what is exciting in your life? Anyone getting married or having babies, or both?

oooh i don't know i would but there's too many personal details to give over the internet. A charicature of the events is, my sis dated an abusive guy for years (I mean an utter bastard of the most pathetic form) only now she's snapped out of it and come back. Ironically she'd just finished her Psychology and Philosophy degree, gives you some perspective i reckon completing that.
But yeah it's good, brilliant in fact.

Well, we've known each other since high school... but we ran with different crowds, and we actually disliked each other strongly.

As time passed, and high school ended, we had mutual friends, started hanging out more, and just started dating. That was a little over a year ago, but we both just knew that we wanted to be together.

Well, let's see. I finally was interviewed for the promotion I've been working towards for a good two months. Yay me. :p

Uhm, I almost broke up with my significant other... again. We're complicated people. Who love each other, but are complicated nonetheless. We just seem to get in our own ways sometimes. Not to mention, we're at that stage in our lives where quite honestly, life would be easier without a relationship, sometimes. Life is generally being consumed by work, school, travel... all those things you do in your 20s that do awesome things for you as a person, but aren't always conducive to long-term relationships, unless you're good at the long-distance thing. We're not so much. We'll see.

Also... uhm. No, that pretty much covers it. I'm not in a bad place right now, just a stressful place. Life's not easy. :p

Awww, but shouldn't you be able to not see if girls are cute because you're in a relationship? Shouldn't you be repulsed at the idea of dating someone else? *is joking :p*

I gots me a new lady in my life (by new, I mean we've been together about a month now, so we're past the point of not-serious). Things are going well. I am quite pleased with her. She fulfils her function adequately.

As for the coming week... school term finishes tomorrow. Thank Christ for that. Only three terms left to go... and then Uni next year, but ssshhhhh.

My theatre play is coming along swimmingly. Finally learning how to walk in heels. I never knew dressing in drag could be so much fun, or so hilarious and absurd. As You Like It is a great play.

What else. Erm. Nothing yet. Life should get exciting in a month or two, once I hit 18.

LOL. This one time I this itchy eye, so I saw the optomitrist, who sent me to the hospital, where a nurse gave me a panic attack, so I had to to go another hospital, then they sent me home, then I saw an eye specialist the next day instead of my regular opthamologist, who dilated my pupils and I couldn't see properly for the rest of the day, so I got on the wrong bus, then asked the bus driver what bus number it was, then he called the cops, then I had to run away blindly...

Mmm, indeed. The benefit of being over-worked and stressed during 9 week terms means they have to give you long enough holiday to recover in between. 3 months in the summer, as well

Loads of things.

Went on a french exchange last week, and got to fly a light aircraft. Going back to Egypt next week to see where I grew up. Had my French Horn Grade 2 today and messed up a little, so seeing if I get the distinction my teacher wanted me to get. Nearly asked a girl out for the first time, but changhed my mind at the last minute. ANd its easter next week, so busiest time of year for my dad and indirectly me.

heh, you've caught me at a pretty action-packed time.

The most exciting thing to happen to me was an attempted mugging on Monday (St. Paddy's Day mind you). I was at the mall after school trying to pick up a new backpack for my daughter, and in the parking lot, four chicks came up to me, and asked for a smoke. They looked about, oh I don't know...17 - 21 maybe. There have been a rash of 'swarmings' at the malls lately, mostly groups of girls like these stealing wallets, cell phones, and sometimes assaulting their victims, so I was immediately wary. I said I don't smoke, but rather than turn by back on them to walk away, I stayed facing them, hoping they'd fuck off. One girl got close to me while the others sort of looked around, and I KNEW she was going to try to jack me, so I punched her. No, I didn't over-react...she had that look on her face, and everything about them screamed out the fact they were up to no good. I threw my bag at her feet to distract her, and I punched her in the face, nicely skinning the shit out of my knuckles and hurting like hell. It freaked the chicks out, and I thought they were going to all jump on me, but there was a woman and her kid in the parking lot who started yelling, so they ran. I am happy to say I think I broke the bitch's nose.

All in all, it was an enjoyable experience...I doubt she's going to try suing me for battery.

I have a flat!

I'll be moving in with 3 beautiful women in September, close to University campus. I can't wait!

Well, good for you! Hope you listened to our collective heap of advice in the other thread... and hope your flatmates turn out to be awesome. I hear that happens sometimes.

I proposed to my BF.

On another note, please, please, please don't do missionary work. Why are you so dead-set on annoying people who haven't done you any harm? :(

Congratulations! :)

And I agree with your question to Zilam, and your thread about it.

I met this amazing lass. Also, I may well get the job at the pub round the corner from me and therefore I shall soon have money. :D

Which countries and what line of work, out of curiosity?

Working in Norway as an au pair. Speaking of, I finally narrowed it down to one family! XD. I'm not going to officially celebrate though until I have a signed contract.

Cool, your life is just like a movie! ;)

It'll be great...until their collective nagging starts...:p

They're all awesome. Two of them are my current neighbours and the other is a friend of theirs. I listened to the advice and this is what we got:

A 4 bedroom flat.
Rent = £93 a week with bills inclusive. This is great especially as we're in London. Close to excellent transport links and shops. Can't wait!
