40 is the new 30? Okay, I won't be that cheesy.

Numbers get more meaningless the older I get (granted, I'm less than a week away from hitting a quarter of a century). There are people who have abused their bodies with too much sun, alcohol and stress that look 40 when they're 28. Then there's my mom, who looks 40 when she's 56. Nothing to do with a number.

If i took that statement to be true it would fail it's own criteria, as i'd have to trust that statement, if that statement is false then you can trust other people.
Therefore that statement is self-defeating.

Now back to advice giving, there's one good thing about celebrating your 40th birthday...
You're not celebrating your 50th one!:p
Have a great 40th, and don't forget to throw a bottle of champagne at a ship. I don't know why but it seems like a celebratory thing to do. And make sure it's empty first.

When I was growing up -- in the sixties -- it was "Don't trust anyone over thirty." Jerry Rubin said that (Thank you Google). Of course, they all grew up and now the watch words should be "Don't trust the old hippies." Why? Because they've all sold out.

But Happy Birthday to you. And many happy returns.

From what I understand you are required to do the following.

1. You must buy a bike, you are looking to recapture your lost youth and you also have the money to buy those things you couldn't back then.
2. Leather jacket, hey, you're still young, you're still hip and it's time to put on that leather jacket and show you can still cut it with the youngsters.
3. You will experiment with your hair, it will be awful.
4. You will realise that throughout your 30's, you lied to yourself in thinking that it was a women's mind that attracted you, you now realise it was always her body - result: date an 18 year old.
5. Damn it you've worked hard for 10 years because at 30 you suddenly thought that things like having money in your account, saving for your future, taking your job seriously were important. Now you realise we're all going to die anyway so what the hell, live a little.

This is what I've been told - for me, I fully intend to act the complete ass when I turn 40, which is thankfully a long while away - why, because the very expectation means I can and people will somewhat excuse it by saying 'well, he's turned 40'.

Enjoy and Happy Birthday.

No, si tengo quince años otra vez entonces ustedes tienen cinco años. O, si vamos a hacerlo proporcionalmente, entonces ustedes tienen once años.

Vamos, pues entonces somos adolecentes. ¡Jajajaja!

Oh, no, that's not baby me.;)

To steal the old slogan from the 60s, "Never trust anyone over 40!"

This Saturday, I will be turning Black 40. Any words of wisdom from my elders? Or words of respect from the rug rats?

And a happy birthday to you Daistallia. I myself am about 23 months shy of the half century mark.

I like to look at it this way. I am not getting older, just closer to qualifying for retirement. And one thing that I used to love to show and prove to my rookies when I was a career fire officer; Age, experience and treachery will always win over youth and stamina. :)

Have a blast this Saturday.

No me molestaría enseñarte a escribirlo.
