I must say it is very effective advertising because I really want a Blendtec blender now. Currently, to blend random things. But, eventually for actual use when I need one for that...

Oh, I'd be there ... but I just remembered that "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?", my guilty pleasure TV, is on at the same time.

what exactly does mutilating random things in a blender have to do with History?

Will it blend is cool, but it shouldn't be on History Channel. From what I've heard the US's History Channel actually doesn't show many historical programs.

It's under the same umbrella as The Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel. Right now there seems to be a fascination with observational documentary series (like reality shows, without contests) about dangerous jobs. First was Deadliest Catch, which appropriately was on Discovery, then Ice Road Truckers, which inexplicably on the History channel. (there was also the short lived Lobster show) Now there's Ax Men, and they've blended the channel identities so badly now that I don't know which one it's on.

And that's a serious problem. They're trying to spread what works on one channel to all of their channels and in the process muddling the channel identities so that they might as well just call them Discovery I, II, and III. I would say it's a real problem but I don't know what their viewer numbers are, maybe it's working for them but as a viewer it confuses the hell out of me.

they show a lot of history of things though. I figure they will show some history of the blender or something leading up to it.

History Television (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_Television) FTW then (A Canadian alternative to History Channel)...

We got all the History programs from History Channel, PLUS

We get:

Deadwood
Rome
Band of Brothers
History Bytes

AFAIK History Channel doesn't have those

I thought History Channel had Band of Brothers.

I hope the Australian version of The History Channel decides to show this, I love watching the Will it Blend series started watching in 14 months ago and have been hooked on watching them ever since.

A couple of favourite episodes are the one where he blends up a McDonald's meal for his Uncle, the i-pod episode just seeing those toxic fumes and the raw fish one and then giving it to his assistant to drink

It did.

It also had Black Sheep Squadron for a while, with interviews from actual Black Sheep Squadron (like, the real one, not the actors) in the breaks. It was cool.

Unlikely. :( It'll be on YouTube though probably--legally or not.
