Yeah, I was on a similar kind of plane when a similar kind of thing happened on the way back from Poland at Leeds-Bradford.
Yeah, it was horrible, especially since it was a) at night and b) I hate flying even normally.

I used to fly into L/B a few times...to think they landed 747's and Concorde there...!
I've been in rough weather but it doesn't overly bother me...however...get slammed by 150 mph winds on approach knowing that your yawing and pitching all over the place....in the vid the planes like what 15 or 20 degrees off...
If you went through that...and did not kack yourself then you are a better person than I ! LOL

Jeez...that is the mos reckless thing I've ever seen ANYONE do with an aircraft! I don't care if the passenger had to make their connection, you never EVER make a landing in that kind of wind! You divert to another airport you idiot! The pilot obviously did not have control over the aircraft, and if he did, he was five seconds behind. (When you're flying, you want to be five seconds ahead of the aircraft). He's lucky the aircraft didn't crash.
No, I don't consider him a hero, I consider him a reckless and dangerous pilot.

Actually it was a heavy gust that hit them...out of the blue. Yes they were landing in a storm but had it been constant 155 mph winds I don't think they would have chosen to land there.....

That last video in the link is insane, I swear one more centimeter and the wheels probably would have smashed into that car.
