:D Lets see how long this thread (rant of mine) lasts...:D

:mad:
I get angry, you see, when I DL music from an artist because I consider it of interest, related to something I'm doing and it so happens that it turns out to be something entirely different.
Point in case, friggin' Origa. I consider of the utmost importance that when I'm studying a foreign language, it's necessary to listen to music in the said language. I'm studying Japanese currently, so, I have downloading songs from several Japanese artists like Kamui Gackt (don't shoot me!), Utada Hikaru, Hyde, Malice Mizer, Agatsuma Hiromitsu (of course, what's Japanese music without the shimasen?), among others. Listening to the phonetic helps me speak. Anyway, to make a long story shorter, while watching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, I came upon the name of a certain singer by the name of Origa. With that name I assumed, badly, that she was a Nippon singer so I downloaded one of her songs, "Flashback Memory Plug". I really liked it so I DL "Aurora", "Waga Kokoro no Maria", "Aoi Hitomi", to name a few and, considering the titles, I thought I was on the right track. Wrong! After listening to some of the songs, perhaps not paying enough attention, I decided to look for the lyrics and what was my surprise when, zas!, when I read the words for "Aurora", I couldn't understand a thing.
Why you might ask. Simple, they were in Russian!:mad: Origa, Miss Origa-san's name is actually Ol'ga Vitalevna Yakovleva (Яковлева Ольга Витальевна), a Russian singer and vocalist who's worked in Japan several times since 1990.
Of course (smacks herself), the Japanese can't say the letter "L", therefore, Ol'ga becomes Origa.
So now, I'm über angry! Care to share similar experiences?

Meh, I'm pretty good at downloading music, but I can get angry at myself because I procrastinate to much. And I know I do this, but I can't seem to change. If I studied every day an hour or something school would be easy. But now my grades are quite bad which causes only more work, during the holiday etc. It's also sometimes annoying that people who are more stupid than me get higher grades.
I also had to do a little internship-report this week, I started 7 times or so and I only finished it today :headbang: which is pretty stupid, it would have been easier if I made it this weekend.
I'll stop procrastinating, later.

that's not stupidity... after all, you're learning Japanese. how did you know that they would have russian songs.

I've also encountered Latin, French, and other languages in some Japanese Movie soundtracks.

now what would be stupid is if you are fluent in Russian and you didn't reconize the words. :p

as for my acts of stupidity...

I locked my keys in the office. so I called security to unlock the door. after they left, I gathered my stuff and left... forgetting my keys once more on my desk. :p

Anger is the inability to reason properly. So, I try to not get angry at anything. I use my mistakes as a learning experience.

this happens often?

As for the OP downloading music is the work of the devil, because:
Download music=less profit for companies
Less profit for companies=less people with jobs
less people with jobs=less money to go around
less money to go around=less resources to survive on
less resources to survive on=crisis
Crisis=devils work
So when you download music you do the devils work. you cannot defy my circular logic, because i say so.:)

Only if you were intending to buy the music you downloaded. Otherwise it's not really less profit. Therefore I only download music I would never buy.

Ah well it goes on
Devils work=devils pain
devils pain=God's pleasure
God's pleasure=????
?????=Profit
Profit=jobs and income
jobs and income=oppression by the capitalist state
oppression by capitalist state=sad people
sad people=devils work.

So as you can see you're going to end up going in circles if you keep doing the devils work, although some people do profit.
I am the circles in your head spinning around, even if you're dead.:D
buzzzzz too much caffiene for me makes me go in circular argument mode
circular argument mode=other argument modes
other argument modes=hunger
hunger=need for caffiene
need for caffiene=circular argument mode
and so on, it's a vicious circle really.:p

Anger is a demon.

maybe the demon should be rehabilitated, then he's less likely to be demonic.
I mean what a label, being called a demon, you can't shake that sort of thing off at first impressions you know?

Of all the people who needed prayers none of all the popes have prayed for the one who needed it the most, the devil. {Martin Luther i think, to paraphrase him}

Bright and sunny disposition? You mean if we get too close to you we might get skin cancer or a sun tan? Oh right you mean happyness, i doubt the same can be said for me.

I know, but most of Yoko Kano's music tends to be instrumental. When I heard Origa, it was a choral piece composed by Kano but the lyrics are indistinct and you can't really tell in what language they are. I liked her voice and DL some of her songs thinking that she was a Japanese singer. It was surprising to find out that she's actually Russian.:p

Note: This choral piece is showcased in "Inner Universe", the opening song to Ghost in the Shell: SAC.

So some stuff you got for free turned out to be not exactly what you were after, and this throws you into fits? You have some deep-seated emotional problems, mon ami.

Wait, do you really think I went into a fit for DL what I didn't want? Either you're very naive or you took me too seriously.:rolleyes:

By the way, this is the song that took advantage of me. Origa sings it with Benedict del Maestro.:sad:

LOL! That's me. I made it because I had nothing better to do. And because I had nothing better to do, I remained silent on it. I should take that link off, becaue I think it's not supposed to be in the sig as per the rules in NSG. Personal website, you know.:p And I'm sorry if I look spooky, I was hanging out with my friends all day long and I looked positively aweful.:D

huh, well that explains it, makes sense really.
when you say aweful do you mean, awful as in horrible, or awe-full as in full of awe and wonder? quite sobering all the same. (in a good way, honest)

Anyway other things i'm mad at myself for would include not revising enough in school a few years ago, meaning i have to work harder now, but well i didn't really have a choice. (i know i'm arguing the determinism side of things but it fits with my liberal ideas, hold on liberal ideas er well maybe not liberal but it does fit in somewhere)

I rarely get angry, but when I do it's usually because I put off studying until it's almost too late, and then I have to do it all at once. This doesn't mean that I get low marks, but it does mean that I rarely get 100s (usually get low to mid 90s).

The other times are when someone tells me to follow a rule for no reason (see my political compass score on authoritarianism in my sig). The rest of the time, though, I don't bother getting angry.

also: does anyone have a link to that Moral Compass quiz?
