The last winning bipartisan ticket for POTUS was Lincoln/Johnson in 1864.

In 2004, a Kerry/McCain ticket was mentioned but fizzeled.

So who would you vote for?

Some serious and not so serious toss outs:

IF there were a bipartisan ticket in 2008, who would you vote for?

A: Obama/Hagel
B: Obama/Bloomberg
C: Obama/another GOPer
D: HRC/Bloomberg
E: HRC/another GOPer
F: McCain/Clinton
G: McCain/Bloomberg
H: McCain/another Dem
I: Another combo
K: I can't vote in US elections

Clinton/Paul!

A Judy Tenuda-esque "that could happen..."

But all joking aside, I can't honestly see any other GOP combo with HRC than a McCain/HRC response to an Obama/GOP ticket..

Clinton/Paul!
That's more retarded than Obama/Bloomberg (or any other Obama/neocon). Congratulations.

Obama/Colin Powell (guaranteed win),
That's what I was thinking, Powell fucked up under Bush, but I think enough time has passed with a bunch of sycophant lackies running around blaming their fuck ups on no one in particular that we would welcome Powell back.

If I could have any bipartisan combo, it would be McCain-Lieberman.

The dynamite ticket I thought of was in 1948, in which Harry Truman privately asked Dwight Eisenhower to run for President and Truman would step down and become his VP. This was before anyone knew Ike was a GOP man. Truman denied that he had done thing publicly, but his writings said that he did.

I would never consider voting for a bipartisan ticket in the next election. I consider the current Republican Party completely and totally unfit to lead.

(To be sure, I consider the Democrats only just barely fit to lead, sort of, as long as we watch them really close and never leave them alone with the cookie jar.)

Republicans don't vote for socialism. Sorry charlie, but just because somebody supports a war that you don't doesn't mean they're a Republican. If that was the case, Joseph Stalin and Chairman Mao would be republicans, as both of them would've done the exact same thing.
