Religions, in my view, were undoubtedly created things. Man made God, not the other way around. I point you to the Cargo Cults to show you how it has actually happened in living memory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cargo_cults.
Now, what I'd like to propose is this:
If you could invent a religion for the 21st Century ... and for all time, what would it be like?
What would the principles be? Would it be written down? Or in multimedia? Would it involve mind-altering drugs? What language would it be written in? Would it be in any language or in pictures:confused:? What words would you use to tell other people about your religion? What tone of 'voice' would you use? Would you do a first person or third person narrative? Would you do it as a documentary?
