The general idea of the article is that the honorable (said with tongue planted firmly in cheek) Karl Rove managed to have the former Governor of Alabama put into prison for trumped up charges. When 60 minutes aired the story, a mysterious CBS outage occurred, affecting only the northern half of Alabama and lasting only for the length of the segment covering this story.

Is this really happening in America, and when did we reach this point?

What I'm most surprised at is how, in 8 short years, nearly the entirety of my once beloved GOP has become such a flesh-eating monster. Damn you Karl Rove, you GO TO HELL!!!

That didn't sound like grounds for corruption or bribery charges. Large donations aren't unheard of. What a load of horse manure that Siegelman is behind bars.

"There were no transmission difficulties. The problems were peculiar to Channel 19, which had the signal and had functioning transmitters. The decision to blacken screens across Northern Alabama could only have been an editorial call. Channel 19 is owned by Oak Hill Capital Partners, who can be contacted through Rhonda Barnat, 212-371-5999 or rb@abmac.com ." --CBS Headquarters--
