So, in the last couple days I've been reading some interesting stories, made all the more entertaining by the fact that they're passed off as real. Some of you have probably seen them before, but for those who haven't, they're both pretty good reads, and very entertaining.
I made this post to ask a question of NSG: Are there more "hyperfiction" stories out there for me to scare myself with?
For reference, and links to the two I've read (Ted's Caving Page, and Dionaea House) see this site http://theunshaven.rooms.cwal.net/Hyperfiction/Index.htm
Damn you. I can't stop myself from looking.
Edit: and now I have the excuse I needed to stop paying attention in Oil and Gas Law. Bastard.

You really won't be disappointed. They're pretty scary, although they're better when you're alone in the dark (as most horror is).
It's a really intriguing style of fiction writing, and those two stories are some of the best examples.
Links to stories:
Ted's Caving Page (http://www.angelfire.com/trek/caver/page1.html)
The Dionaea House (http://www.dionaea-house.com/)

I HAVE to know what the 'gimmick' is, so I end up reading/watching, but then I obsess about it for weeks. It's terrible.
So no. In the daylight, in class surrounded by people thanks:P
And yes, I'll read them, damnit.

Oh yeah... I've read some of those: there are a few other stories circulating about the 'net, many of them along the lines of -- oh shit, there's something horrible coming through my win1y1g3u
(Then the perennial problem, of course: why would the faceless horror from beyond the stars hit "Submit Reply"?)

I'll cast a phoenix down on this thread, because it's still relevant to my interests.
