So who watches the Red Bull Air Races? I've watched every race last year and I can't wait for the 2008 season. I swear, R.B.A.C. is more exiciting than any car race I've seen, these have got to be some of the most talented pilots I've ever seen, to go through the course at such a high speed and to pull the banks (in aviation it's not a turn, it's a bank) with such high G Force. I really love the Championship race at the end. It looks like this season will start on the 10th of April, at Abu Dhabi.

i've seen a few events, but i'm not really into watching sports. it's pretty impressive though. don't have a tv anymore though so i won't be watching any of this season.

I have watched it a couple times. I think it is beats car racing any day. I can't stand to watch NASCAR. Anyway I am always impressed by the flying skills these pilots have.

Air Races? Hah. The Flügtäg is where the hardcore action is at!
Its really good! I love how they super-impose the planes together in the replays so it looks like they are racing at the same time. Beats the hell out of Nascar.

I went to the San Diego one, it's pretty good fun. Would be better if they raced head to head, though. Might be a little dangerous...

I like it. I won't go so far as saying it's better than car racing (and seriously, NASCAR is only on type of racing, there are lots of other series that don't paint on their headlights...)
Without side by side racing it will always be a little lacking, even with the super imposed runs since when they do it we already know who went faster. Not that there is a safe way to do side by side racing, but an important aspect of racing is the race. Against the clock, while challenging, lacks some of the tension of watching racing.
It's still fun to watch, and there is tension seeing if the pilot will beat the other's time. It's interesting.

he don't want to Renew the Red Bull and along with our V8 Supercar racing
so the only world championship sport we going to have is frisbee world championship :rolleyes:
