The movie is bad ass in epic proportions. It stars Chow Yun-Fat, as a so-called supercop, who's trying to crack down on an arms smuggling syndicate with an undercover agent. The bodycount totals up to 307 according to IMDB at the end of the movie.

I recommend it to anyone who likes action films.

Boondock Saints is a great movie. One of my favorite, in fact.

I admit to never having watched Hard Boiled. But I will certainly go out and find it now!

As for favorite action movies... I like things of the shit-gets-blowed-up-with-witty-asides variety, particularly ones with Bruce Willis. Also a big fan of Boondock Saints.

Hence why there are so many Saw movies.

martial arts slap stick where nobody gets killed but everybody ends up as one big bruse at the end. that's one kind. also the anime ones where everybody does god-like impossible crap, nobody gets killed and everyone ends up one big bruse at the end.

also ones that bring home the lesson that vengence screws everything up for everybody, no matter how much you think you like or dislike their charicter, their country, their idiology or their beliefs. preferably without killing anyone (haha fat chance) and everyone ends up a big bruse from one end to the other.

ones where all the aggressive assholes kill each other off in the first 15 seconds, and the rest of it is about building a world where everybody gets along without them happily ever after and not needing them, and not encouraging the next generations to become like them by romantacizing and rewarding that kind of crap.

ones where the totally mellow layedback loner who everybody thinks is the village idiot because he refused to lie to himself like everybody else expects and demands each other to, ends up the ultimate hero precisely because of being able to understand what everyone else is denying and lying to themselves about.

ones which reveal how messed up dominant assumptions about the bennificence of aggressiveness really are, in which real alternatives nobody thinks about or believes are, survive the self destructiveness of all that familiar crap people have been conned into putting up with because they've been conned into falsely believing nothing else is possible.

ones in which the bully gangs destroy the arms factorys in their turf wars over them and the hippies and farmers survive and rebuild the world with windmills and little trains and getting along with the little furry creatures with big sharp teeth.

ones in which the little furry creatures with big sharp teeth ARE the action heros.

Hong Kong-based Urban Trend has designed a range of gun-shaped egg fryers which it says will be shooting into stores later this year.

Customers will be able to serve up their eggs in a variety of weapon shapes, including a Magnum .45 and a Uzi.

"Whatever the reason, gun-shaped objects seem to be all the rage these days," a company spokesman said.

Made from stainless steel, the wacky kitchenware will be distributed to 40 countries worldwide and will sell for £3 for a pack of four.

Best action movie would have to be V for Vendetta or something along those lines. People die in SO many creative ways in that movie, it's just impressive.
