What do you smoke?

Yes, what do you smoke? Whether it's be weed, cigarette or cigar, tell us what you smoke!

For me, I like to smoke a nice Cuban Cigar from time to time. Don't worry they're not really from Cuba. They're made by Cubans in Miami. Nothing like the flavor and smell of a Cuban Cigar. :)

Okay...then they're not really Cuban cigars then, are they?

I smoke Schemmelpennick Medias and Arturo Fuente Exquisitos Maduro wrap cigars. And, if I have extra cash whatever grabs my fancy when in the humidor.

And, of course, weed. Weed so sticky it's considered a superpower.

I used to smoke hardpacks of Camel Lights and Turkish Golds. I still do when I'm really stressed out. Some weed from time to time, but I'm honestly not that big a fan.

They're made by people who were born in Cuba, learn to make the Cigars in Cuba, then came to America, set up shop in Miami to sell Cuban Cigars. Ergo, they are Cuban Cigars.

If I have a cigar rolled by a Vietnamese guy in Fremont, it's not a Vietnamese cigar. What makes a Cuban cigar isn't the ethnic origin of the dude who roles it, it's where the tobacco comes from, you know, that thing that makes up the cigar and gives it its flavor?

Just because my friend rolls a mean joint doesn't mean it will smoke better than one with better weed in it.

Um. No.

By definition that which makes a cuban cigar is the fact that it is produced with cuban tobacco. Not who rolled it, or where they made it. A cuban cigar is a cuban cigar because it contains cuban tobacco. Typically from the Pinar del Rio province.

You know you can legally get real Cuban cigars, right?

Cuban tobacco, rolled elsewhere in Latin America.

Ahh, now let's see.

I smoke cigarettes daily. Various brands, usually red or green label L&M, or if some place happens to have it (most kiosks here don't), red Pall Mall.

Continuing on to the pipe. I have a corn pipe, yeah, it's cheap, but I like it's appearance and no matter what the snobs say, it tastes pretty nice as long as you take good care of it. In there, anything from rolling cigarette tobacco to better pipe tobaccoes (I prefer the Finnish brand Kilta here though, and it's not too expensive either.) and sometimes, on a rare occasion, mary.

Cigars and cigarillos: When I have too much money or feel like it, I buy Van Kemp cigarillos. Cigars not too often, but sometimes get 'em as presents. Gotta agree with Wilgrove on the cuban cigars.

And, as the last but certainly not the least, the shisha. My favourite flavour is that of an apple. And yeah, well, I guess that's all there's to say about it. If you haven't tried it, do it.

BTW, I predict the time warp will be strong with this one...

Edit: Yep, time warped. But it would have been stronger if it was earlier in the day...not enough posters on this thread now to get max effect.

There are a small group of Bay Area posters here, including a mod or two. I honestly don't know why I picked Fremont for that example.

Out of curiosity, when Chuck Yeager yelled at you, was it because you said something stupid that pissed him off?

"Cuban cigar" as a significant phrase refers to cigars produced and sold by Habanos SA.

I happen to smoke genuine Havana cigars quite frequently, most often Montecristo #2s, Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills, Monte Petit Edmundos, Partagas Serie D No. 4s, and H Uppman Magnum 46s.

This evening I'm smoking a Petit Edmundo.

Back in the states, where I worked part-time at a pipe and cigar shop, I ususally smoked Ashton, Fuente, and Padron products, as well as La Aurora, the occasional Gurkha and stanford cameroon reserve. Another non-cuban favorite is the dominican Monte white label.

I also smoke a pipe from time to time, more often than not English tobacco these days, particularly various Dunhill and G L Pease tins.

I enjoy Danish aromatics from my aromatic pipes as well, but find myself gravitating more and more toward English.

well i never turned down a free turn on that i can recall, but i don't think i ever consumed a neurotropic substance that i would have had to pay for either.

never felt like i had to have anything for that matter either too. but i did really dig the atmosphere; low stress, creative, mellowness.

You lucky duck. I've paid for things that turned out not to be neurotropic.

Yeah, that's bad. A high should be an enhancement, a bonus to existence, not a way to avoid getting low.

but i did really dig the atmosphere; low stress, creative, mellowness.

I've never understood "mellowness." It's sort of like comfort? Being happy to spend time?

Richmonds?

Perfectly tolerable cigarettes, to be fair, and they're what I got started on way back in the spring of '07. Even the Superkings, which are the rejected end of Kings tobacco and paper, are alright.

The only brands to really avoid are L&B and Windsor Blue, of which Windsor Blue is by far the worse. Eugh. They're OK if you draw back without the smoke touching your tongue whatsoever, but even then, to be avoided.

While I started with light cigarettes, I don't like those anymore. I need the nicotine and the "feel" of a full-flavor cigarette. Otherwise I'd smoke more.

This way, I smoke less and enjoy it more.

What I really like are cigarettes without additives, just pure tobacco.

If you didn't enjoy opium you simply didn't take enough.

In my experience and that of many others, the experience of taking opium stays with you, forever.

Nothing else can ever be *that* good.
