Hypothetical military conflicts in Stargate

I have wondered many times: what would happen if this or that race/faction entered a war with the other(during their stronger points, with known tech)

Some examples being such things as a Wraith-Goa’uld war, or at this point more likely a Jaffa-Wraith war..or Ori fighting the Ancients(or more often for me reduced to Ancient Battleship vs Ori Battlecruiser)…or even Asurans vs the Replicators…

I’m going to leave this as it is for the moment and see what other people have to say before I add my bits...feel free to add your own hypotheticals :)

The replicators would win against ALL except two, and those would be stalemates in my opinion. The two would be Ori (God like powers) and Wraith (Organic ships).

Edit: I think the GO A ULD or however you spell it would lose any directly Military conflicts. But they might win if they had enough worms in the higher ups of the wraith or the Ori. Against the Rep's however, they are DOOOOMED! Bwuahahaha!

I think the Ancients, if they got involved, would annihilate the Replicators (after all, they invented the first replicators, and in the repository of Ancient Knowledge was the ARW, or Anti-Replicator Weapon).

And we know the Goa'uld can take Ori as hosts (Adria was taken as a host by one of Ba'al's cloned symbiotes), but I don't know if it's possible for a Goa'uld to take a wraith as a host.

Well, Wraith are half Human, and Goa'uld had those weird scaled hosts before Humans, so probably they could. As far as the Ancients go, I wasn't counting them because they are incoporial(Wrong way of spelling it I know). While I know the Ori are too, they mainly use Human minions, so I count them. But I do agree if they counted ancients would "pwn". :)

Adria was human. Genetically advanced and with the knowledge of the Ori, but human.

Its heartening to know that my Stargate knowledge is at least up to scratch with all of yours'.

As for the question... I'll go like this:

Al'Terrans (Ancients)>Ori>Replicators>Asgard>Ba'al or Anubis Goa'uld>Wraith>Other Goa'uld>Tok'ra

I think, however, that there would be a FEW differences than that... for example, The Asgard and the Ba'al/Anubis Goa'uld are pretty damned close. The other Goa'uld would be a close match for the Wraith, probably more of a stalemate then anything else. The Ancients lack the human followers to properly hold a war against the Ori, but then since they're all up on high anyway it doesn't really matter. They're kinda like the referees.

This, of course, fails to take into account the Nox, humans, or other such random races.

I love being a nerd.

There are only a couple of races the Goa'uld can't possess and Wraiths are mostly human so I would say they could.

And the Ancients got pwned by the Wraith and Replicators.

MacGyver could defeat an entire regiment of Bear Cavaliers with a paintbrush, a needle, and a stale sausage.

No way, he's so fucking awesome (and he must be, as I very seldom use this word) that he doesn't need the goddamn elastic band.

I was talking ascended ancients, not the human ones. But yea, if they were human, rep's would get them good.

Stargate SG1 was completely ruined by the last season, especially the very last episode.

Nerds should and will rule the earth. Bill Gates was just the beginning...

Thats one of the reasons I love NSG. It stands for Nerds Socialising Gainfully :P

I feel that the last 3 seasons were not up to par with the stargate we knew.

The problem is they started running through enemies.

For the first half of the series they were just against Apophis, then he died (a couple times), and they were in a general fight with the Goa'uld. Then they started making progress against them and the last few seasons were a speed through against Replicators, Ori, and Anubis, with a little Ba'al here and there.

Yeah. It really helped that there was an air of mystery and "we don't know who the enemy's all are" about it.

I actually thought they should have ended Stargate SG1 with the Lost City episodes and the defeat of Anubis, and then just have let Atlantis take it's course.

i think you majorly underestimate the Wraith, their strength is unknown, aside from 60 Hiveships...we don't know much about their Cruiser numbers, but they certainly hold numbers if the Wraith could challenge the Asurans(Ancient's Replicators). also, while they don't have shields, or a match for Goa'uld in hyperdrive, the Hiveships Dart numbers and both Hive and Cruiser offensive abilities are far greater then a Ha'tak and their Gliders.

and, as of the end of now. i am going to say that the Wraith are A) Less Arrogant. B) have faster developing tech. and C) have superior, if not potentially more Infantry

i think the Alterans do outclass the Ori outside of the ascended(going with Pre-Wraith war Alterans vs Season 9/10 Ori).

i think the Replicators may have the chance to handle the Ori(again, excluding ascension) if they encountered each other, the Alterans would likely have been able to figure out a way to handle the Reps. but the Ori would rely on thier initially God like tech, which the Reps would then absorb and the Ori, i think, wouldn't be able to figure out how to stop the replicators.
