WHat would you rather have in your kitchen right now: Barack Obama or a big plate of tacos?

Tortas are excellent, but they aren't tacos. Tacos can do things tortas can't even if they're both great on their own.

Me, I'd take even a taco with far too much cilantro over Obama.

In a soft, stone-ground corn tortilla, if they're the real deal. Although it's Obama, so they could be the fried, floury, phony Americanized knock-offs.

obama needs to be in the oval office, which is rather a long way from my kitchen.

taco's, other wraps and anything else to eat, that's ready to, as opposed to 'fixins', tend to go directly from final cooking into the mouths and stomacs of my wife and i. very little chance for them to accumulate into "a big plate" of them.

occasionally we'll make something that they'll be leftovers. VEEEERY seldom do we ever order out. nor buy much of our eatin pre-prepaired.

i like to cook. i like to cook creatively.
obama would of course be very welcome to drop by and share some of my cooking if he felt like it. only i think now, with his possition and security requirements, our little tiney house would be kindof crowded with the neccessary secret service agents and all.

same goes of course for hillary.

i might invite ron paul, but probably not mccain or the rest of THAT bunch.

kussenich, and gravel are of course always welcome, as is jerry brown, and most greens.

not that i'd ever really turn anyone away for their politics anyway, unless they were behaiving unpleasantly.

well i'm not always in the mood for creative cooking either. and most of what i make is boiled. i pretty much can't stand fried. although i bake and sautee too.

what i make just depends on how i feel and what we've got in the house at the time.

We Cuban Americans have learned to eat and love tacos in the USA.

We all share empanadas which can be made of many different type of foods. We call empanadas empanadillas in Cuba.
