I love pie. Anyone here have a particular favorite?

(For eating, not throwing, LG. ;))

I'm proud to be an American.
So apple pie.

I cannot choose. I love all pies equally! For eating and throwing!

Meat.

Rum Pie, and then Chocolate/Peanut Butter Cream Pie, then Cinnamon Pecan Pie. Good stuff.

But French Silk is really good too, and i never turn down a free pieceof pie. (Unless it is processed fritter pies that sit under a heat lamp at a convenience store... yuck.)

Guava Pies. You can buy little Guava pies all over Miami in any corner. Guyabas. Pastelitos de Guyaba.

Well, if you're going to make me pick from the pies on the list, it's all about key lime.

Hmmm, my favourite pies had to be the ones that Georgie Pie made prior to their closure in the late 1990s. My favourite pies of the present have to be the ones that are sold in the deli parts of Foodtown/Woolworths (supermarket in NZ), nice, hot, and they have proper meat in them as well.

For throwing, I think a cream pie would be good.

My least favourite pie has to be the mathematical one.

Steak & Onion and Cornish Pasties.

Ummm another of them weird cultural things. When I think of pie, I think of steak and kidney, or chicken and leek, or meat and potato, or minced beef and onion.

So steak and kidney it is.(or even steak and ale)

You, you're talking of pudding though I guess, then I'm gonna go with apple, or ruhbarb, or blackberry.

What is this French Silk pie of which you speak?

French silk is that most decadent of whipped chocolate creme. There are variations as to what, if anything, goes on top. My most commonly consumed variety has whipped creme and chocolate pieces on top. Ive had one with caramel, which I didn't mind, but it was my least favorite kind. Also, it can have a graham cracker crust, which is also my favorite, but there are fine pies with the regular crust. Its so light, chocolate-y.... /me drools a bit. Anyway, I voted for this king of pies, imo. But I am a fan of pretty much all pies, dessert and... meat? Pie ftw! :D

Of "sweet" pies: anything incorporating almond flavour or marzipan. From the poll, probably key lime, although if I were making my own key lime pie, I'd probably incorporate some raspberry as well.

"Savoury" pies: um, good question. I haven't tried all of the different flavours yet. Back in a minute! ;-)
