This is breaking news on the BBC at the moment. Can't find anything on the internet except for one sentence on the BBC website saying more to come.
This is an interesting page to look at though:

Just got this through from the BBC website now:
Rig evacuated in security alert
An oil rig in the North Sea is being evacuated in a security alert, it has been confirmed.
It is understood that a total of 539 people are being taken off the facility in an operation involving 14 helicopters.
They are being transported to other rigs in the area.
The operation, 100 miles off the Aberdeen coast, began at 0920 GMT on Sunday and is being co-ordinated by Grampian Police.
I was watching this on Sky News a few minutes ago. It seems there's been a bomb threat involving one woman.
Seems the BBC concurs:
[Squadron leader Barry Neilson, from RAF Kinloss] added that there was a report of a woman on the platform who had sparked the incident, but he could not go into details at this stage.
The Press Association reported that a "device" had been found on board.
However, Mr Neilson said "we are not sure about a device".
He added that the next stage would be to look at getting specialist staff on board the platform to check it over.
He said that could involve bomb disposal experts, however, those co-ordinating the alert were waiting instructions from government ministers in London.

It might not be terrorist related. On his last trip my dad had to get evacuated from the rig he works on in the Gulf of of Thailand because a pressure build up threatened to cause an explosion.
Police are making arrangements to fly a 23-year-old woman from a North Sea oil platform which was at the centre of a security alert.
The woman, who is a British national and had been working aboard the installation, was detained by the offshore installation manager.
