Win. That is, if you were not quoting the remake of the song.

If the PSP merely burned a hole in the kid's pocket then that would have been a great social commentary.

LOLZ. I was just talking with a police officer about an incident in which some PCP exploded in the back of truck. He then told me about how he once found a marijuana plant the size of a christmas tree. Epic :p

The story about bulletproof backpacks (http://technologyexpert.blogspot.com/2007/08/should-back-to-school-shopping-include.html) was more interesting. The inventors researched school shootings since 1900 and developed the backpack. Now WTF good is it? Kids will move their backpacks in "bullet time" to thwart flying bullets? Come on... And why did they need to do research into shootings to develop a bulletproof backpack...there's little relevance.

Looks like there's still a problem with Sony bombs! Err, Sony batteries.

Well, that and it's cheaper, and has ridiculously superior gaming abilities.

What the DS can't play movies? It's too bad that only my the two tvs, two pc's and three laptops in my house can, I bet I'm really missing out! (not really)

Remember when everyone got down on the Wii because 'it might ruin your tv'? meaning some idiot let go of the Wiimote while swinging it and it went through tv....

Yet few people have heard the Xbox 360's transformer can get so hot as to start on fire....

It's sad, the way that everyone seemingly wants nintendo to fail.

That is the funniest, stupidest thing I have heard all day. I know I want to spend way more money on a backpack that might get the chance to maybe save me....

EDIT: Their site had anti-ballisitc luggage! Who the crap is gonna walk through the airport with the motive of shooting my luggage? If they try to shoot at me... it's doubtful I would have the response time to even consider reaching from my bag to protect me. On the plus side, I'd be dead pretty quick, so I wouldn't have much time to mull over not grabbing my luggage! :D

Pft, Game Gear would never do this.

The PSP beats the DS in versitility. Wireless connectivity, Portable movie watching/MP3's, even being able to read e-books on it.

but if all you want is a portable gaming system... then DS is for you.

Pft, Game Gear would never do this.that's because that thing drains batteries so fast it don't have time to heat up... much less set something on fire.

Well, the unbeliveably large amount of fanboys (Including me) never belive that crud and most of us even put up with Wind Waker for Nintendo. If any other company made it, it would've been a complete failure but we fanboys are loyal, that much ya gotta admit!:D

Uhhh, that's kind of what they were both made for! The PSP just has a few extra uses and no touch screen! Touch screens are awesome!

You do know about the Opera browser on DS?

Or the (highly unofficial) transflash adapter that lets you play music, or movies, or game ROMs, or perhaps boot up DS Linux? Plus touch screen is definitely a winner. It's almost as good as keyboard+mouse for first person shooters.

As for the batteries, that's what happens when you get a short. Some batteries get hot. Some catch fire. Some can explode. The reaction of some (like most lithium ion or lithium polymer-based ones) can be a lot more severe than others.

This reminds me of the time I went out with a makeshift torch.. a 100W hunting spotlamp, plus a 36Ah sealed lead/acid battery in a backpack. Was fine until my crappy makeshift wiring shorted. The person I was with said "errr, you're on fire", just in time for me to notice a plume of white smoke like a steam engine billowing out of my back. You've never seen anyone move so fast.

Lots of melted wiring, and one boiled battery with a nice hole in the top. At least it didn't happen in the ancient tin mine we were investigating. Whups. Chalk that one up to a lesson learned as a silly kid.

Bah, I was a Sega boy. ;)

Well, not so much. More like I knew people who were Nintendo fanboys and kept giving me the "haha, your stuff is shite" crap. They seemed to be getting little pubescent chubbies about sprite scaling and rotation.. so it was kinda fun to have Megadrive titles doing the exact same thing a couple of years later. Yep, no hardware ASIC for MODE 7 warping, but.. much faster processor so it could be implemented in software. ;)

Plus proper FM synthesis trumps PCM pretend-synthesis any day, even if the SNES did have a filter to make crap samples sound a bit better.

In school shootings, students usually hear the shooter coming and hide under their desk. Now they can hide behind a backpack, which of course changes everything.

I guess humans kind of missed out on the fight or flight instinct that all other animals seem to have. If everyone trapped in a classroom knew they where going to die and they attacked the shooter instead of hiding, they might survive.

The DS has a Wi-Fi browser too! yep, and you need a seperate wireless attachment to connect. the point is that the Wireless feature is built into the PSP.

Uhhh, that's kind of what they were both made for! The PSP just has a few extra uses and no touch screen! Touch screens are awesome! yeah, the touch screen does add more to the game... when it's properly used. which is why I said, the DS wins over the PSP as a gaming unit but the PSP is more versitle for other things besides gaming.

It's almost as good as keyboard+mouse for first person shooters. you do know that the DS does not have wireless capability built in right? you need to buy the adapter for it and connect it right?
