Sorry, not going to be of much help to you. Look into the Chartist movement in England, that might have something to do with it.

And I'd love to discuss 19th century history, but alas, there are better ways to go about it

Forgot about those help with homework thread rules.

Given that I know fuck all about C19th history, and have refused to study it thus far at university on the grounds that their course belongs in a bog standard comprehensive sixth form, not a university, I may be a little fucked.
Serves you right for being so arrogant.

Oh, and homework help is strictly not allowed here.

I may have been a tad stupid....

I have an essay due in tomorrow, at 915, on the why France, and not Britain, suffered a revolution in 1832. Given that I know fuck all about C19th history, and have refused to study it thus far at university on the grounds that their course belongs in a bog standard comprehensive sixth form, not a university, I may be a little fucked.

Any help, even the briefest of overviews, would be warmly appreciated.:(

Google a random site, and hope it's valid then memorise all the main points. That or fake an injury. Why be so shocked when you refused to study it? What's to lose if you didn't want to study it to begin with?

Aren't homework help threads disallowed on this forum?

It's not arrogant to know what I want to study, and, presumably unlike the majority of other students if the university deems a general introduction to all history necessary, to have read into it.
Well, looks like that strategy is working out for you.

10 hours, 23 mins remaining...

If I wanted to be told what to study, I'd have stayed at school.
What do you think University is actually like, Chris?

Cutting your nose to spite your face much?

Personally, though, I think you might learn more if I don't share with you my bog-standard comprehensive education.
