Beer.

Specifically, and in no particular order: Guinness, Belhaven, McEwan's, Newcastle, Iron City, and Molson.

...That said, real Russian vodka is good, too.

I don't drink very often at all. However when I do, something like.. Southern Comfort (a mixed whiskey), or some kind of alcopop, or perhaps Baileys. Dooley's toffee vodka is rather nice.

Sheridan's is lovely as well.

Anything except beer, especially warm beer. Which, I guess as a non-American anglophone, makes me a heretic.

I like Guinness or a good rum, myself. Basically things I drink because they taste good, not because of their intoxicating powers.

Red Wine. Good red wine, naturally (£10 or more a bottle).

Other than that, I'm fairly partial to a gin and tonic, or a pint.

Same. Usually I only drink on special occasions, and drink very little (I've never gotten drunk, and plan to keep it that way).

Above everything else, wine.
I've recently found some bottles of Diàul (year 2003), a superb Inferno (Nebbiolo from the terraces on the northern slopes of Valtellina).

About beers, some italian lagers (Menabrea and Forst), czech lagers and pilsener (Krusovice, Staropramen, Starobrno), some german lagers and kölsch.

Grappa from Veneto (grappa from Trentino is too sweet), scotch and some irish whiskeys, moskovskaja vodka, Calvados, Armagnac.

A good beer.

Meaning something that isn't shit like Coors or Budweiser. Something good, like Anchor Steam, or Fat Tire, or Newcastle, or Guinness, or Mackeson, or Dead Guy ale, or any number of beers that actually taste good.

Second favorite: Mead.

I don't drink.

Having said that, I do enjoy an occasional couple sips of red wine with a meal. I quite literally stop at a couple sips, though.

Whisky, specifically Islay malt is my absolute favourite, but I enjoy most things and often have a glass of red in the evenings.

It is an urban legend that we Brits drink warm beer. Yeah of course real ale, outa a real hand pump, with names like 'Daveys old whollop'(a fuckin' great beer BTW) is not strrictly cold, but certianly below room temprature, and deffo not warm. Seeing though as the real ale drinkers are few and far between, all lager is served cold.

Port, mead* and cider... I blame doing too much LIve Action Roleplaying.

*Seriously, I know honey-based alcohol may sound wierd, but I'd recommend it, it's gorgeous (Moniac is probably the best make)

Good red wine; real ale; gin and tonic; absinthe; calvados.

Roughly in that order (though not at the same time).

While my tastes vary from good red wine to cheap watered down beer, nothing beats a good Johnnie Walker Black. :)

Well...except for a Johnnie Walker Green, Gold or Blue, but you try ordering one at a bar...bring lots of cash.

Malt whisky. Either Talisker, or Knockando. Preferably Knockando, although it's a bitch to get a hold of nowadays.

I'm a mixed drink girl. Margaritas are probably my favorite - frozen, on the rocks, plain lime or with raspberry/strawberry/mango/pomegranate/blackberry/black currant/whatever - they're all yummy.

Aside from mead (sweet mead, not that extra dry crap SOME people like... stares hard at redwulf), I like my drinks sweet and fizzy. Twisted VI is quite good, particularly the grape. Or orange pop and triple sec. Or Oberon Ale. /me wanders off to make a list of booze to bring to Border War...

Especialy if you can get home brew. A nice semi-sweet. Plus the brewers I know brew theirs to about 32 proof.

Guiness. It puts hair on your chest. Failing that, a nice red wine. My friend's grandfather owns a small vineyard, and has made some excellent red wine.

Alcohol is awesome. If it's the right kind. If it's "King's Bay," "Popov," "Old Crow," "Black Velvet," "Budweiser," "Tecate," "Coors," or "Bud Lite" it is terrible crap that shouldn't be consumed by anyone.

OO god...alcohol. In no particular order: Gin, Vodka, white wine, champagne and many cocktails relating to them I like alcopops in moderate amounts or the sugar makes me feel ill, also like red wine and rose...although wines give me murderous headaches...OO Bucks Fizz and Martinis get a special mention even though I already mentioned champagne and gin and mixed drinks relating up there. I really really really hate beer, as a last note. D'you know I was actually shocked earlier when at college somebody said I'm the gayest person they've ever met.
