Just tidying it up a bit, I guess, but if you make sure that it's flat and tidy then that counts, too...mine definitely wasn't all flat and tidy, but it is tidy when compared to the rest of my room. Although I can't be sure if the condition I see it in now is the same as when I left, since I have cats who like to sleep on it.

I could understand if it didn't seem aesthetically pleasing for your stuffed rabbit to be on an unmade bed...but imbuing the stuffy with life-like qualities and commenting on its comfort?
No, never have, unless you count putting clean sheets on. I have a dog who sleeps on my bed during the day, so making the bed is a pointless exercise. She'd just have all the bedding knotted up into a nest and sleep on it anyway.

I was told once when I was a kid that you shouldn't make the bed right away because this would trap heat and moisture inside and that this would help the wildlife living in your bed to multiply. Nowadays I don't know how much truth there is to that, but I believed it back then. I stopped doing my bed and instead moved the blanket to the side of the bed, and I still do the same today.
Of course, it's easier too, and it's not like anyone else is ever going to see my bed, so it doesn't really matter how it looks.

I ocassionally make my bed, but is only because I've run out of floor space and I need some temporary flat space where I can stack stuff into piles to help me sort before I put it all back on the floor in towering stacks of sorted items.
If this was my house, probably not. I mean.. I'm just going to get back into it at night anyway, why bother pulling the sheets and whatnot symetrically over the bed?

I was awake and on my way to work at 4.30am. Making my bed before I leave is *not* a priority that early in the morning... and besides, I just fall back into it the minute I get home, and nap for a couple hours before I even think about the rest of the day.
After my nap? No, I don't usually make it then, either. I spend a lot of time in my bed, though, and it's winter, so it's cold... I get all cuddled up in pj's at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and chill on my laptop.

No, because it's absolutely pointless. Making a bed should only be done in preparation for company, or if you happen to be a staff member at a hotel.
Not that the rest of one's house should be treated like the bed, but really, there's no point to it. It would be like windexing your TV every time you turn it on and off.

I tidy up/remake our bed every morning, folding the duvet down to half way down the bed so that the sheets get some air.
My wife gets up a few minutes before I do each day, puts the kettle on and then goes for a shower. I get up, sort out the bed, draw the curtains and go make coffee. It's not something I've ever really thought about until I read this thread... it's just something that gets done.

I flap the duvet back over when I climb out of the bed and call that made. By the time I get home from work though my wife has chnaged the sheets, pillow cases, and duvet cover, the bed is flat and creaseless and the pillows have been plumped, she calls this making the bed.

No. Most days I make it look tidy-ish, but today as I got up, the dog came running in and decided the bed was a great place for a nap. He looked upset when I tried to shift him, so I left it :p
I made my futon, as in putting it up into a couch...
I do so almost every day.
I'm also a compulsive neat freak... the kind that walks into someone else's house and straightens their books.
I'm a liar; I answered "yes" because even though I didn't today (I was running über-late) I usually do.
Knowing about the mites thing, I usually put everything in a way that'll air it the best way after I get up to shower, and then I'll "make my bed" about 1.5-2 hours later before I leave the house.
I couldn't, however, just leave the bed as it is - I have this OCD thing that I cannot possibly have anything "dirty"things, i.e. anything but my body plus things that are meant to be in the bed and therefore may not leave it lest they lose their "clean" status (stuffed animal, nightshirt, etc.) touching my bed. I effectively prevent this by making the bed and then pulling a cover blanket thingy over it, and then I'm free to pile clothes, stuff, visitors etc. on it all day until I'll remove the cover and use the bed for sleeping in again.
Of course I could also draw the cover thing over an unmade bed, but that a) makes for uncomfortable sitting on and b) leaves precious things like my stuffed animal or my pillow, which I'll not allow to be sat on even with a protective cover over them, in unpredictable places and therefore less easy to prevent being sat on.
I'm weird that way.

Absolutely, an with an even coat and no bumps or below-average thin spots, too. And when I make a pizza myself, the toppings will be evenly distributed and no single spot will be without cheese, either.
Aw... but I wash dishes too.
Yes, but do you make sure to rinse off every single bit of foam/detergent? And do you double-check against the light to not have missed any dirt? And do you make sure to rinse them in increasing order of dirtiness (only applicable if you don't do them under running water)? And do you explicitly wash the spaces in between the thorny thingies of the forks?
If not, get the hell away from my dishes; I'd rather do them myself. :]

I'm the same way with bread and pizza, though it's more a quality thing than an OCD thing, because while I can do without them being perfect, I'd much rather them be, well, perfect.
Same way with the dishes, except for the rinsing in order of dirtiness bit. Again, it's all a matter of quality, as I definitely have issues when anybody else in my house does them... I dislike finding dried, crusted food on supposedly "clean" dishes, and it happens because they don't pay as much attention to detail as I do.

Way to be judgemental. If indeed they have problems with allowing another human being into their bed, I'd presume this is less a choice than an OCD behavior and therefore nothing you should ridicule or judge the other person for.
There are, however, other ways of seeing it. I, for example, am very okay with having my stuffed toy that's been in my ownership for 20 years, gets washed regularly and never leaves my bed in there, but I will object to anyone, including my SO, to touch my bedstuff when in their daytime clothes that they sat on various dirty surfaces with etc. - but I am more than fine with him joining me in my bed without his (daytime) clothes, and he's the same about his bed. Maybe that's what the other poster meant?
