Depends on why the race believes humans are bad. If they make a good case...
EDIT: hurrah - my first thread steal !

Aliens rock, thus they have my vote.

And why no joke option? You make Pollcat very sad :(

Suppose for a moment you were sucked into your television and entered the series "Battlestar Galactica" or some other sci fi movie/game with a conflict between humanity and those who hate humans for being evil and bad. If you had a choice of which side you'd join which would it be?

Also note that once you join a side your character would be you if you were one of them. (I.E. If you joined humanity you'd be some guy in a uniform with a blaster while if you joined the aliens you'd be one of them look like them yet still have the same mind you did prior to joining)

Hmmm... It depends. Do they belive that we're evil because we have pontential to kill them/because we're a bunch of greedy idiots? Then No.
'Path of Now and Forever', a doctrine that ironically stated that all non-Ur-Quan sentient life be slaves to the Ur-Quan either as battle thralls, or forever be imprisoned on their homeworlds under impenetrable force-fields
Or because we really screwed them over? Then yes.
Or because they're just a bunch of racist idiots? OF course not!
Or because they're just really warlike/on a holy war? Then no.

I would choose the evil and bad side... So in this case: 'humans'.

Surely one of the biggest points of BSG, especially from Season 2 onwards, is that the sort of conflict you describe above is, at best, a huge simplification of the problem at hand?

So say we all.

Will Smith would save us from Alien Destruction, so I choose humanity because I don't want to be an alien when the mothership blows up.

As TV series usually have no or very little influence on the real world, I wouldn't care enough to put any thought into this choice.

If, however, asked to make the choice whether I want RL aliens to win against the human race or not, I'd first ask for a report on how the aliens intend to treat the Earth and its environment / other beings apart from the humans, and how humane they'll treat the losing humans, before making any sort of choice. All in all, I have not much of an allegiance to "the human race" that'd make me root for it if the other side has the better arguments/policies/chocolate.

ETA: Misplaced apostrophes are the very destruction of humanity that dwells among us already - fight if you care!

But in that case it wasn't "Kill teh ebil humans" it was simply Alien imperialism. They needed resources and land, Earth provided all of that.

But it was still "destroy all humans", as they decided to nuke everything to death with their space-laz0rz.

Nevertheless, Will Smith and his army of superhero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hancock_%28film%29) zombies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Legend_%28film%29) and robots (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%2C_Robot_%28film%29) will save the day yet!

I'm human, so wouldn't I be stuck?

Alright then, to add a sense of peril to this scenario lets suppose if you complete your mission as a human the aliens don't find a way into the RL world while if your an alien finding a way back to RL for them is your goal. Ultimately human or alien you return to the RL world after completion of your mission.

It isn't, the Cylons are searching for it too. Learned that from the episode where Adama threatens to nuke a planet with a temple which everyone beleives has a map to earth.

Perhaps the Toasters were separated?

There’s bound to be some twist.
