So does anyone else here have the flu? I got it yesterday and ever since I've been pretty much drained of energy. I also seem to have whooping cough and fluctuation between hot and cold. Apparently other people that I know also has the flu, how about people of NSG? How many of you guys have the flu?

The flu almost seems to be more virulent this year. I've basically had all those symptoms at one time or another, but after two weeks, I have fully recovered.

The feverish stuff usually only lasts two-three days, but then the runny nose kicks in and the cough stays for a bit longer too. Once you get past the fevers though it's all good.

I have not gotten the flu this season! :D

My mother has though. I gotta stay clear of her.

Haven't had the flu since I was 11 years old. I have had really bad colds though.

Meh. I've never been infected with the flu. Ever. No variety has ever caused me grief.

The only years I ever got the flu were the years I got flu shots. :p

No, I got my flu shot. I know they don't always work and am sorry you have contracted it. Here are Dr. Celtlund’s cures for the flu;

1. Get a 750 ml bottle of whiskey, bourbon, vodka, gin, or other liquor of choice. Get in bed under the covers. Open the bottle and drink. Continue drinking until you can no longer see your feet. When you wake up in the morning, you won't even know you have the flu. :p

2. Chicken soup. Get a chicken and all the mixings and make a big pot of home made chicken soup.

3. Get a 1/2 gallon jug of fresh orange juice and drink it. Better yet, get two jugs and drink it with the chicken soup.

4. Unless allergic to aspire, take 2 aspire every two hours.

Now, that advice will cost you 1 dozen peanut butter cookies.

Get well soon man and for god's sake don't cough on the computer screen. :p

I had the runs monday buts that about it. Its going around my school though.They made us wipe down all the desks friday during 7th hour.

I'm just waiting for that new vaccine that provides immunity to the entire class of influenza Type A viruses.

It happens. I get the flu spray stuff and a few weeks later i get the flu. Along with everyone else at school that got the shot.

You mean the nose spray stuff? I have my doubts as to how effective it would be if it is.

yeah/ Don't get it. The only people that didn't get the flu afterward were the ones that didn't get it.
