no i do not agree.

those who long for the good old days when it was OK to use derogatory terms for whole groups of people need to understand that those days are not coming back.

Political Correctness is purely political and never correct. Tolerance is not Political Correctness, and one does not beget the other. Political Correctness promotes a state of tension and fear of insulting others, fear of being labeled disruptive or offensive, and instills a subtle presence of making lawsuits based on being offended more acceptable.

In all of this, understand Political Correctness is not stupid in any way. It may be ineffectual, paradoxical, and nonsensical, but not stupid. The idea is wide-spread tolerance, and it failed.

I think the lack of any humour or evidence of thought in that cartoon speaks volumes about the minds of those who go on about what they see as political correctness.

If the implication of the cartoon is that it is, itself, funny - I would have to disagree.

Quite right. Let's ban Political Correctness and return to the good ol' days where I could slap the secretary on her ass and make lewd comments about her breasts (they love it really). When I could go to shops that have signs outside saying, "No Blacks or Chinkys allowed". When I could hire someone solely based on the colour of their skin or the number of x chromosomes they possess.
Ah those were the days.

Racism is bad, but really PC goes way too far sometimes, well most times, well all the time I guess.

If political correctness goes ‘way to far’, then it’s not correct then, is it?

The (near) absence of racism, sexism, homophobia, etc., in a society doesn’t mean one can’t, for example, criticise someone of a certain race, gender, sexual orientation, etc., it just means that we recognise that criticising them because of their race, gender, sexual orientation, etc., is beyond the pale.

I think you should be allowed to say politically incorrect things, but in doing so waive all right to prosecute for assault when you get punched in the face.

I would be cool with this plan.
