My absolute favorite band is System of a Down. Consistently they have impressed me with their music, and there isn't an album I didn't like.

Shame they're on "hiatus" though. Thankfully Serj Tankian is still rocking out: his new solo kicks ass.

Current Favorite SOAD Song: Question!
Current Favorite Serj Tankain Song: Empty Walls

Other bands I like:

Rammstein
Current Favorite Song: Sonne
Still waiting for them to put out a new album

Linkin Park
Current Favorite Song: Faint
"Minutes to Midnight" infinitely disappointed me. They can (and better) recover though.

Tool
Current Favorite Song: Sober
Now if only they start putting their albums on iTunes...

Ill Nino
Current Favorite Song: Unreal
Just found these guys. Not too bad.

Disturbed
Current Favorite Song: Down with the Sickness
They've gotten formulaic over the years. Still good though

Other songs I like
Paralyzer by Finger Eleven
Pretender by The Foo Fighters
Goodbye by SR71
Image of the Invisible by Thrice
Judith by A Perfect Circle
Drop the Bombshell by Powerman 5000
Miss Murder by AFI (Strange in that I don't typically like songs by guys in eyeliner)
Bodies by Drowning Pool

I've been having a Brazilian craze lately ...

Antonio Carlos Jobim
Baden Powell (no, not the Boy Scouts guy but named after him)
Chico Buarque
Caetabo Veloso
Gal Costa
Maria Bethania
Rita Lee
Badi Assad
Joao Gilberto
Miucha
Cartola
Pixinguinha
Clara Nunes
Elis Regina

Jobim's album "Stone Flower" is superb, as are his collaborations with Elis Regina ("Tom & Elis") and Miucha ("Miucha & Antonio Carlos Jobim").

Chico Buarque's most recent, "Carioca," is also fine.

Rita Lee's "Bossa & Beatles" is a collection of very interesting covers of Beatles songs, with three of them rendered into Portuguese.

Maria Bethania' "Que falta voce me faz" is a collection of the songs of the great brazilian poet, playwright and lyricist Vinicius de Moraes and is quite wonderful.

As others have said, I could go on and on.
