As a few of you may remember, I have made two threads in the past month about my husband djing his (crappy) music online. Turns out that the guys who hosted the server (Radiogrounds) gave him a time slot. He plays every Tuesday at 7pm est. You can find the link in my siggy.

For those wondering about the type of music, it's techno, and I can't tell you what he's doing this time. All I know is he wants to do happy hardcore some time.

What kind of music would you like to here?

He was originally planning to do some melodic techno.

That sounds staggeringly awesome. Something slightly ambient, good times ahoy.

Good times if you're not me. ;)

My dad is now in the habit of coming over while this happens as well.

Heh, ah well. Got to enjoy pretty minor fame when it hits, no?

It sounds like background music for Bomberman64.

Egads, that is horrible. You Canadians sure have funny tastes in music.

Would some vocal house à la Narcotic Thrust be too out of his niche?

No, my husband does. I prefer to stick with rock.

I'll ask him. :)

EDIT - He doesn't know who it is, but he can do vocal house.

They had a couple of hits a while back with "Safe from harm", "I like it" and "When the dawn breaks"... but, does he know of the Swedish House Mafia?

I would love to hear some 'darker' techno, something like Who's afraid of Detroit by Claude Von Stroke.

Alternatively some really kitchy electro would be nice too, something like Moskow diskow by telex, or trans-X with living on video. I believe he played the last one the previous time.

He says the name is familiar but doesn't have any of that.

Bummer. I was feeling like hearing something by Sebastian Ingrosso or Axwell.

Narcotic Thrust?

They're much more Happy Hardcore than techno.

They're not even close to happy hardcore - they're club-house. Do you even know what happy hardcore is?

Alright, not really happy hardcore,

Again not just "not really", but "not even close".

which is utter pish, but not techno.

Well, that's why I asked if he could do some house and he's doing something house-ish at the moment.

Alright, not really happy hardcore, which is utter pish, but not techno. "I like it" was alright. Didn't so much like the other stuff.

You probably have a better idea that happy hardcore is than I do. It all sounds the same to me.
