I read the article. I detected no funny. Perhaps your link is messed up. Maybe you could just quote the funny part.

You promised me funny. There was no funny in that article. Just random policy decisions with ludicrous numbers attached. Funny involves, you know, manipulating psychology, assuaging temporary fears, making the normal absurd and the absurd normal, etc.

Much of the people on here are not on the right side of the political spectrum, so they may not agree with your sense of humor (as in they simply don't laugh at the same things you do).

Don't take it to heart though, and don't beat yourself up on it. I personally am disgusted by Glenn Beck, so it's not really your fault I didn't find it funny, it's Beck.

But also, there's no winning at threads. And frankly, why do you need to win at anything? Just do what you love, do your best, and don't hurt people. If you do those three things, you're in good shape.

So just don't mind what the typical NSGer thinks.

I resent being alluded to as typical. Still, you're right, HP seems to take criticism pretty hard, so thanks for trying to cheer him up.

Oh and HP, to get a start on grasping what is funny, I suggest a Douglas Adams novel or a Bill Hicks stand up set. That should give you the general idea.
