Also, there are white people in Black and Mexican gangs all over L.A., even if that trend peaked a little while ago. Remember also, the first L.A. gangs were northern Mexican gangs, who looked "white," more or less ("pachucos"). :p

Well if it's an explicitly white gang then they are probably a group of rich kids just being dumb and bored and probably not a real gang or yes a racist gang.

There are plenty of white kids in non-racist gangs or even anti-racist gangs like two tones.

Most poor whites live out in the mountains or in trailor parks in the south. You won't find them in inner cities, so no, you won't find many whites in gangs, and very few exclusively non-racist white gangs.

Gangs don't keep to the inner cities. (The term 'inner city' is useless on the West Coast anyway) If you mean dirt-poor, never-owned-a-pair-of-shoes types, maybe they're in the South or the hills, but most poor white people live about three blocks away from poor minorities, in my experience.

Depends where you live. L.A. is the polar opposite of, say, Chicago. L.A.'s population went from 50,000 to something like 3,000,000 in a ten-year period at one point - the point is, people came in in a disorganized mass, all at once, making the neighborhoods fully integrated from the beginning. In Chicago, you had the German ghettos and the Irish ghettos and the Polish ghettos, etc. from 1872 onward until today. New York is a bit more of the segregated, Chicago-style deal than the more intergrated variety. But even there you get odd white gangs, and of course "mafias," be they Russian, Armenian, Italian, Jewish, etc. which are white, and not explicitly racist beyond disallowing other-ethnic members from joining the higher ranks sometimes.

IIRC the CIA doesn't recognize Hispanics as a race, Hispanics are people of Spanish (and I guess Portuguese) descent so they are considered to be white...Black Hispanic people would be considered black...

It depends what you call a gang, there's these twats who live down my street who think there a gang but all they do is walk around in mass's emo bashing one or two emo's at a time or starting with old people. But in england there are white gangs/gangmembers who do some right awful shit as well. Depends on the Sicilian, and on the Hispanic. Being half of Sicilian descent and half of Hispanic descent, I can tell you some of us are pretty damned lily-white.
