So the Grad Program that I am enrolled in at my college has decided that we need more training. Yes, effective as of Fall of 2008, we will now be required to have 72 (it was 69) Credit Hours. Which means we'll need five Semester of Studying and Two semester (six month) of Internship. Basically by the time I actually get out of the program, I'd have enough schooling for a doctorate but without the degree, the prestige or the money. I have been in college since Fall of 2002, and it's now 2008. All of my friends has moved out of college and getting jobs and making money. Meanwhile, I'm still in college, still broke and I dunno, the light at the end of this tunnel seems to be a small speck in the distance. I know why I'm in this program, it's going to get me a good job that will pay very well and it's something I can do for 40-50 years. However, it does seem like I'm standing still and everyone else is moving forward. Anyone else ever feel this way?

Snip...

Just think of the end results. It will not take you to long to catch up to your friends in monetary terms. Then eventually you will surpass hopefully and you will realize it was worth it. As for having the feeling of standing still I believe we all experience that from time to time in life.

Once you are out of college and start seeing some money...it is very difficult to go back to college even though you might realise that you may make more by going back to college. I would stick with this and complete the program successfully. You can always make the money when you have the skills for it.

Inquire. They changed the requirements for my master's program whilst I was in the middle of it; the chairman of the department gave me a waiver because I had already started the program and completed a fair amount of the classes before they made the change.

You could free yourself from your worldly material possessions and become a hermit living with your animal brethren on a mountain somewhere...

Just and idea...

Heh, you think that's bad, I'm starting medical school this year and I'm going to be in the training system for somewhere in the order of 15 freakin' years. Chin up. :P

basically what Kat said. Ask them to give you some slack since they are changing the rules in the middle of the game.

and since I am hardly as bitchy as usual tonight, you might want to check your OP for subject/verb agreement.
