I'm just off to eat my neeps, tatties (that's parsnips and potatoes to you sassanachs) and vegetarian haggis, but I'd thought I'd first wish you a Happy Burns Night! So raise your glasses and have a wee dram in honour of the Bard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Burns).

Aye, January 25th is Burns Night.

It's sort of an unofficial national day for Scotland, but basically it involves a lot of good food, poetry, dancing and -- most importantly of all -- fine whisky.

I and a bunch of friends are about to crack into a lovely 10 year-old Jura single malt.

Yeah. I unfortunately had to skip my Burn's Supper tonight, because I was working. So I'll be making myself a good helping of mashed tatties and haggis tomorrow. (I don't like neeps. Bleh)

And Burns is The Bard. :p
