Now that Heath Ledger is dead...

his death is irrelevant in whether or not ill see the film.
wow, i am queen of the timewarp today!
Hey so are you gay, or did you 'come out' on some other issue?
And no, I see no movies in the theatre anymore. Sitting in the dark watching a movie bores me. I'd rather be able to get up, do something else, come back and resume.

I was probably going to see it regardless.

Er dunno, what's the plot like?
I don't care much for what sexuality the actor is when they play the part, i like to see good movies as do most people i imagine.

yeah...It's Batman! BATMAN!!!
I would've seen it regardless...
His death has no bearing on whether I go or not.
dunno.
maybe...
but Heath Ledger and the news concerning his death is not, in anyway, part of the decision making.
If I hadn't heard of it before, this might have prompted me to take a look at the film.
Mind you, I was planning to see it the moment I discovered its existence.

Yea, I still plan to go see it, mainly because I really enjoyed Batman Beyond.

I don't know. It depends, like all other moves I see, on the opinions of reviews and of my friends. Perhaps I will see it in second-run theaters. I honestly don't remember the last film I saw in first-run theaters, so why break that streak now?

What? Do you mean Batman Begins or is there some relation to the cartoon Batman Beyond that I don't know about?
I was going to see it anyway. The buying frenzy that follows a death has always creeped me out a little bit. I remember working in the music store when Sinatra died and all of a sudden the big ass selection of Sinatra that had been sitting there gathering dust was gone by mid-day. I mean, it's freakin' Sinatra, it's not like you hadn't heard of him before or something. The music hasn't changed. Just because he's dead doesn't mean that stuff printed before his death is worth more. I mean, I kind of get it, you have that 'Oh yeah' moment and I guess a sense of nostalgia for lack of a better term, but it still weirds me out.
If the content of the movie didn't interest me I wouldn't have seen it just because he died. He did one compelling movie that I saw, that didn't make him a 'must see' just a 'might be good.'
Batman Begins, my bad. Sorry I was apparently thinking about the Batman cartoon that was titled Batman Beyond.
Oh, and some stuff are worth more when someone kicks the bucket.

Not mass-produced CD re-issues of albums recorded in the 60s that have been in print about as long as CDs have existed, though.
Will you see his last completed film, The Dark Knight in theatres?
Yep, because the trailer I saw looked good and I liked the last one. Hopefully they don't tone it down or alter it because hes dead.

I've never seen any Batman films and don't plan to.

What he said, and why would it make any difference anyways?

I would have seen it in the movie theater anyways (I really liked Batman Begins, so I'm hoping this one is as good).
I'm not seeing it. You can't beat Jack! And Joker looks like a cartoony Jig-Saw

Oh, you totally can beat Jack. Much as I wish it weren't true. Have you seen The Bucket List? or the trailers for it? Oy.
Plus I'm seeing it because bits were filmed in Chicago! Woo! (Plus there was some sort of burned-out-downed-helicopter prop sitting on Wells just as I walking home and it was so very fake looking, I can't wait til I see it in the theatre to see how they made it look real.)
Note to self: no more posting while drunk.

There's of course news stories going around that the role of the Joker might have taken a heavy toll on Ledger, and Jack Nicholson was reported to have warned him about how deeply disturbing the part could be.

I was gonna see it anyway.
Im hoping Ledger can do for the Joker, what Christian Bale did for Batman.
Nothing against Jack, but his Joker was far more "goofy-silly" than The Joker ought to be.
Joker isnt funny...Hes a sick fuck with a twisted sense of humor.
A complete fucking sociopath.
Its time for a Joker that scares people, whos clownish behaviour only accentuates his psychopathic tendencies.
With the last installment, I was pleased to see an actor that actually looks like Batman, and one that highlights the proper things about the character.
The most important weapon Batman uses is FEAR.
Bats uses psychological warfare upon his opponents and scares them stupid, sometimes by reputation alone, before even fighting them.
The armor, the gadgets, the kung-fu...are all secondary.
Also, having a contigency plan for just about every occasion is nice, too.

I am interested in Ledger's interpretation of The Joker. but then again, I wasn't impressed with Batman Begins' version of Ras Al Gul.

Michael Caine (Alfred) admitted that Ledger's Joker was enough to scare him into forgetting lines on at least one occasion.
If it's enough to scare a veteran actor into forgetting lines, I think it's worth seeing at least once.
I was going to see it before Ledger's death. I mean Batman and the Joker!

Are you serious? Ledger's Joker looks the way it was meant to be, very dark, sort of evil. Jack's joker was cartoony.
and also: Why so serious?

I'll be watching it, but I would have anyway.
When I heard Ledger was the new Joker, I was unconvinced - but that was dispelled the moment I saw the trailer. A dark, twisted Joker, to match this 'Dark Knight' version of the Batman... very true to the graphic novels.
Not to diss Jack - I liked his Joker, too, and really wasn't sure it could be improved on - but I like the look of the different direction.
It may add a little tragedy to the role if the Joker dies... a kind of resonance, and I hope they don't let details like that make them fudge an ending if that's what was already in the can.

Heath Ledger's status is irrevelant to my decision. I wanted to see it in the first place, and I'll see it anyway. Besides, his Joker showed promise.
