Just testing whether you can create a new thread - logging out seems to allow you to access General front page from an old thread.

You have passed your test. Also, I add corroboration that logging out allows you to view General.

More challenging test: Figure out why every time an update to WGA is released, my legitimate CD key is found to be illegitimate.

I created a thread and it was deleted. Maybe it was too controversial.

They don't delete threads here because they're controversial, they delete threads here because they are either spam, profane or trolly.

I made a thread asking if books about how to build guns from spare parts should be published. It wasn't spam.

Probably because it is! Just kidding. Maybe you could call Microsoft to resolve this.

Well, where and when did you post it?

I've never been able to start a new thread. Not that I would usually care, but somebody did specifically ask me to start one and I wasn't able. Maybe I'm just being clueless about what to do.

And it's been deleted.

That would have been an intersting discussion. If you start it again, include a poll.

Half the time I post it says my post needs to be approved. Half the time that doesn't happen.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's visible now.

VietnamSounds, your threads haven't been deleted, they were in the moderation queue. This is a Jolt bug and we can do nothing about it except clear the queue as often as possible, given that the mods have real lives too. Here's a link (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1231) to the info. Don't repost when your thread doesn't appear.

I don't think that's what happened. I posted the thread, and I saw it in the list of threads. When I clicked on it, it said it was an invalid thread. It must have been approved and then deleted.

I checked; no moderator had deleted it earlier. I saw the first thread in the General menu on Page 2 and deleted it a few minutes ago, because it was essentially the same thread. Guess we put it down to the vagaries of Jolt.

Hey, no need to apologise. It is not given to mortal poster to know the ways of Jolt.
