Anyone play runescape? If so what do you think of the new updates? Anyone quit because of the updates? I don't love the no pking, but clan wars are pretty awesome.

No. I am not at all interested in playing a game with awful graphics, dull, repetative gamplay, and community made up almost entirely of obnoxious 10-year-old kids.

On and off, although these updates are retarded. They don't care at all about their players and have the most ridiculous system. The unequal trades should at least be proportional and not set as 3000 regardless.

I have better things to do with my free time than do the same thing over and over and over again until it becomes easy.

It's an interactive activity used for primarily entertainment purposes, ergo, it's a game, regardless of the coding language used in its creation.

Doesn't matter. It was a shitty game to begin with, and always will be. Including the bit where its not technically a game at all. It'll be good when Jagex either gets their act together and makes a real game, or goes out of business. I was a member for a while. It still sucked.

They appear to be quite successful with their product regardless of its claimed shittiness, so, meh.

Well it is one of those games that don't require a good RAM card or video card, so it is a game that doesn't require much. It does get boring often and I will often go long times without playing. Lately I have been playing it very much.

Today's children think every game has to be rendered in some fancy 3D art program with awesomely unrealistic physical and ballistic models to be a viable product in a market.

-The community sucks (10 year old noobs and elitists)
-As a result player interaction sucks
-It gets repetative
-The battle system is symplistic. Although weapons and armor are suppost to be weak or strong against other sorts of armor, it really all comes down to.

-Skill level
-Special Items
-Food

It was fun for awhile, but I lost interest, probably for a number of reasons. I got to lvl 78 (And my cooking was my highest skill, imagine that)

My highest skill was chopping wood. Boy if we joined together, then all we would have had to do was find a fire-starter and we could have had the greatest food EVAR!

I'd say about half of the things you could do in that game were useless, like getting wool from sheep.

Yeah, I was a Stand Alone Complex guy, everything I had I made. (cept for a few quality items)

I can't count how many balls of wool I had to get in that game (I believe I mostly used them to make necklaces, to which I enchanted.

I tried Runescape, and Good Night, that is the worse game ever! It's boring, repetitive, the community sucks, and I'm just not that impressed with it.

I still play it. Know why it's ugly? Because it's not a game designed only for $5000 machines with equally expensive graphic cards. It's not supposed to be a rich kid game.

I'm level 44. My attack, strength, and defense are 37, 36, and 35 respectively. Good times. Good times.

And if you're a graphic whore, I suggest you don't play anything other than Bioshock, COD4, and a few others. Otherwise, your graphic whore eyes will explode, then implode into a mini-black hole. Damn graphic whores.

Damn, that's a high level. Of course, once you get superior weaponry and armor (or superior spells and armor) and a high level, you can fight higher level enemies to gain exp faster.

I found out quite a number of interesting peoples on RS. It's also true that i usually live with public chat off lately.

As for the updates: some suck, some are indifferent.

While I agree that RS is "not that good" the reasons you gave are silly and show significant ignorance.

RS plays like a badly watered down Ultima Online, about 10 years late to the genre.
