This article is really long, so instead of quoting the whole thing and adding my comment, I'm just going to link it and add my comment.

So people who are probably giant nerds are dressing up as Super Heros and doing Heroic things. I wonder what their health plan is, and I wonder if any of them ever gotten killed trying to be the "Hero". Hmmm, still kinda funny.

Two years ago, Wayne saw a commercial for Who Wants to Be a Superhero?—a reality show in which costumed contestants compete for the honor of starring in their own comic book—and something inside him clicked.

I watched episodes from that show - it was so awful it can hardly be described. Usually you'd hold out some hope that it might be good in an 'oh my god how awful' kind of way but it was just, simply awful.

Stan Lee was the Donald Trump of the show and, well, let's just say I don't have much respect for him anymore and, to be honest, I doubt he does.

Still, whatever gets your goat...

wrong... the term is NOT superheroes (unless they possess some ability greater than that of the normal human) but the term should be Mysterymen. Batman is not a Superhero but a Mysteryman.

I liked some of the test.

the best one was that they had to run several blocks to give a speech at some fundraiser.

only Four didn't make it to the fundraiser in time. their reason? they stopped to help a lost girl crying in the street... (THE REAL TEST!)

the reaming Stan Lee gave the others who ran past the crying girl was classic.

Only if you have the equipment for a death ray... without threatening world destruction in some cool, super awesome way, a villain is only a crazy crook in a costume v.v

Another kid, awed by the uniform, just stares silently. "Hi," Geist says with a smile, holding out his hand in greeting. "I'm a real-life superhero."

The kid grabs Geist's leather-clad mitt and grins back. "I'm four!"

There is a Reader's Digest version on Wikipedia:

I can't say I'm totally with these Superman-wannabes...some of them seem have committed crimes (Alain Robert (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alain_Robert), George Willig (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Willig) and Dan Goodwin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Goodwin)), not to mention others appear to be idealists who cause nothing but trouble (Terrifica (http://abcnews.go.com/US/Story?id=91072&page=1), the New York woman who "saves" girls from bars). Not to mention I'm not so sure I like the idea of "citizen's arrests" that these superheroes are no doubt doing.

Because it's unique to their form!

I'm pretty sure a brown trench coat and a simple ski mask would be plenty effective at concealing ones identity and provide you with a place to stash an arsenal of kinves, guns, and other equipment.

It would also be decidedly un-heroic.

Hmm, perhaps I should get to work becoming a villain, at least one real enough that they don't have to pay me beforehand and the villainy is at least marginally profitable.

Strange, see this is what happens when you do too much routine and/or boring work.
They sound like very unbalanced people, how can they judge what other people should do? They could be utterly insane and not care.
It's like creating a world inside of a world, inside your head, but these folks take it seriously.

Angle Grinder Man! He's in one of the links.

Though I think he might be getting the clamped people in more trouble since the boot has a thing on it about tampering with it...
