From water torture that is:

Water-boarding 'would be torture'

US national intelligence chief Mike McConnell has said the interrogation technique of water-boarding "would be torture" if he were subjected to it.

Mr McConnell said it would also be torture if water-boarding, which involves simulated drowning, resulted in water entering a detainee's lungs.

He told the New Yorker there would be a "huge penalty" for anyone using it if it was ever determined to be torture.

The US attorney-general has declined to rule on whether the method is torture.

However, Michael Mukasey said during his Senate confirmation hearing that water-boarding was "repugnant to me" and that he would institute a review.

In December, the House of Representatives approved a bill that would ban the CIA from using harsh interrogation techniques such as water-boarding.

President George W Bush has threatened to veto the bill, which would require the agency to follow the rules adopted by the US Army and abide by the Geneva Conventions, if the Senate passes it.

probably isn't breaking news but if you actually read into it its horrible and I hate that we live in such a world (even Lego land is superior:()

so thoughts? reactions? the "not this shit again" image? which fantasy land would you rather live in? I had a really good debate I was going to make about this but I forgot it halfway

I personally would want to live in the Rayman universe one of my favorite game moments is when after beating that mosquito thing in the first level you cheer him up and make friends :)

Lol, when has he not threatened to veto a bill, that's what I want to know. These day's that's about the only power he has left, his side has completely cost right of initiative.

I had lots of lego stuff when i was little, (and not running about like a madboy) it was ace like you say you could build anything, so i usually had the theme of good guys fight bad guys, but then some other guys would fight and it could go on for hours, my favourites where castle assualts. Oh i feel embarressed now.
But yeah lego universe sounds good, i suppose in a way it sort of is, except we don't know how the pieces slot together properly, and argue about who's allowed to play first.

Absolutely, at least he's got clear values. They might not be good, but they're there.

He's made me firmly believe that any acting president should only get two vetoes a year.

He's made be believe that the nation can do quite well under the care of an evil genius.

It can do reasonably well under the care of a well-intentioned dumbass.

But bad things happen when you're under the care of an evil dumbass.

When you talk to God, you have faith.

When God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.

Because then they're "touched", perhaps in the "now show me where on the doll did he touch you" way. And when a much older authority figure touches a much younger person, in some ways, it tends to produce a bit of trauma.

well he won through being the candidate with the personality last time :p
I think he won last time because it was a hate-off. As in "who do I hate as a candidate less, Bush or Kerry?", and since Kerry has few redeeming features of any nature, at least George Bush is comical on camera.
who goes around touching Bush?
In his mind, God.
