My take on this story? It's about damn time. Goose Gossage was a dominant reliever, and he deserved to be in the Hall years ago. Another thing is, I'm actually surprised Jim Rice didn't make it in this year (he missed by only 16 votes), and I'm glad McGwire didn't make it in (he got the same number of votes this year as last year).

So, congrats Goose! You earned it. :D

It's always a good day when a man named Goose ends up in a hall of fame. :)
