Yet still manages to be twice the religious crackpot that they are. It isn't how much you say it but rather what you say.

Ah, you meant 'whingeing'. Yeah, they whinge a lot too.
Not as much as those on the left
Point taken
(BTW, I fixed my post. Oh the irony...)
Not as much as those on the left, and certainly not for the sake of it regardless on their position if a right wing government does something then you find those on the left complaining about it because it is a right wing government regardless of what they do
What does complaining have to do with whingeing?
It is much the same thing
Whingeing has little to do with complaining.

Mike Huckabee: I do not necessarily buy into the traditional Darwinian theory, personally
....
Mike Huckabee: Because, frankly, Darwinism is not an established scientific fact. It is a theory of evolution, that’s why it’s called the theory of evolution.

"Fifteen years ago, the AIDS crisis was just that, a crisis," he said. "There was still a great deal of, I think, uncertainty about just how widespread AIDS was, how it could be transmitted. So we know more now than we did in 1992, all of us do -- hopefully."
Four years before Huckabee's statement, however, President Ronald Reagan's surgeon general, C. Everett Koop, sent out a brochure (http://profiles.nlm.nih.gov/QQ/B/D/R/L/_/qqbdrl.pdf) about AIDS to American homes in which Koop wrote, "No matter what you may have heard, the AIDS virus is hard to get and is easily avoided. You won't just catch AIDS like a cold or flu because the virus is a different type. The AIDS virus is transmitted through sexual intercourse, the sharing of drug needles or to babies of infected mothers before or during birth."
...
In that same 1992 questionnaire, Huckabee wrote that "homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle, and we now know it can pose a dangerous public health risk."
Saturday in North Carolina, Huckabee stood his ground and said he believed that homosexuality is sinful and is not normal behavior; that it "is outside the boundaries of man/woman relationship and its tradition of marriage."

Former Arkansas governor and Baptist minister Mike Huckabee is now leading in polls of likely Republican caucus-goers in Iowa. Why? Huckabee explained last week at Liberty University's convocation.
"There's only one explanation for it, and it's not a human one. It's the same power that helped a little boy with two fish and five loaves feed a crowd of 5,000 people,'' Huckabee said.
Etc.

If Huckabee wins the nomination, I really hope there is a splinter group from the Republican party that separates itself from the Religious right to stop this nonsense.

If you looked you would see that I had corrected my orginal statement to whingeing which I latter stated (Depending on where you are in the world both spelling means the same thing, a bit like colour and color)

Nope. It's their bed, even if it is drenched in evangelist drool and ejaculatory spendings. They can just bite their soggy pillows and take one for the good of the country.
And lose, of course.

there is only one solution if Huckabee gets the nomination; run. It doesn't matter where, just freaking run as far away as you possibly can, because absolutely no good can come from this. (If you hadn't guessed, I'm one of those horrible, immortal gay liberals, and that's reason enough to get paranoid about Huckabee)

He's not exactly going to be sticking Pink Triangles on you and shipping you guys of to camps. I think that basically everyone who's being hyperbolic needs to chillax a bit. His opinion is going to be checked by a Democratic HoR. Calm down, m'kay?

if you are actually immortal and you have some more immortal gay friends, shouldn't you guys like form a gay army to fight against injustice? I mean it's not like anything bad could happen.

I think that what you're forgetting here is that gays are blighted by AIDS (all of them), therefore they wouldn't make a particularly effective fighting force.

I don't want anyone with such opinions anywhere NEAR the levers of power. If a majority here would actually elect such a person, I would not feel I could remain a citizen.

It's the involvement of religion in politics that I have a problem with. When his slogan is: "Faith. Family. Freedom.", that order scares me shitless. I don't want to know he doesn't believe in evolution, and I certainly don't wanna hear the word God twice every sentence in political debates. It's crazy that the American people support this. Much like Khomeini, this guy builds on the people's fear from their religion. His authority as a preacher helps him get votes, and this is a very dangerous thing the country is on the verge of.
