Not Blockbusters, not Sleeper filims... we're talking the B-Movies. Movies with low budgets, medocre acting, and really SPECIAL effects.

Movies that come and go so fast that they practically premere in a video rental store. yep, the soon to be cult classics, the really deep sleeper hits, the released only as video.

and as you can guess, my favorite type of movies. Sure you can have your Harry Potters, or your Lord of the Rings, and all your oscar winners... but gimmie

Jack Frost (http://imdb.com/title/tt0116671/)
Galaxy of Terror (http://imdb.com/title/tt0082431/)
Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (http://imdb.com/title/tt0094834/)
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (http://imdb.com/title/tt0058548/)
Battle Beyond the Stars (http://imdb.com/title/tt0080421/)
and much more...

so what's your favorite B-Grade Movie?

I know you got your own guilty B-Grade movie list...

I've never seen a B Movie bu tI want too, becuase they're so corny. I'd say Santa Clause Conquers the Martians has to be the best. Of course I thought of a modern spin on it; Santa Clause vs. Al Queda!

Leprechaun was pretty (unintentionally) funny too! It's one of the few things Jennifer Aniston has done that I liked.

Well besides all those RKO and Republic serials like Rocketman and Flash Gordon there are a few B's that are quite fun to watch...

The Blob is one as is Hawks The Thing...one that I have not seen but would like to is the Carnivorous Carpet...!

The Abbot & Costello flicks could be funny and of course there are the multitude of G-man flicks...

Not forgetting the classic horrors like Frankenstein or the Werewolf movies...

Then again there are the war films from WWII and Korea...Pork Chop Hill is a famous example...

Heh. Yeah. :p

Also, anything Roger Corman was involved with from '55 to '80, including Deathrace, which it looks like he's currently remaking. Not sure what to expect, there.

It's the guy who did the first Alien vs. Predator...granted it's a camp movie and there's only so many ways you can screw something like that up, but then he found a way to screw up AVP, so...

Well, it won't be easy to out-do the original Deathrace. It's just too great. :p

No, as they were purposely made to be funny, a true B movie is funny because of how bad the production is.

Omega Cop! Featuring Adam West and Ron Marchini!

After an environmental holocaust desolates the world and turns human beings into gangs of rampaging marauders, a lone cop (Ron Marchini) is forced to fight his way back to civilization with three women relying on his fighting skills for their protection. This futuristic sci-fi action adventure combines the speculative fantasy of A Clockwork Orange with the suspenseful action of The Terminator.

It doesn't really but its awesomly bad. It should be used to define the term winfail! Some great one liners and a semi-decently bad plot are propelled forward by horrible acting and extreme low budget special effects.

One scene that strikes me as particularly clever is when Adam West and his female counterpart are being besieged by hoodlums in the control room of the police station. He pulls out a ahnd grenade and pulls the pin, while holding the spoon close to himself he slips the ring over her finger and asks, "Would you like to get married?"
They proceed to go over thier wedding vowels as the hoodlums flood the room and the grenade goes off... CLASSIC!
