Yeah, liquid water and an atmosphere, quite unusual...

They're not that unusual when you look at long-term patterns.

There you go.

When the clouds are afraid, we should be very, very afraid.

Now if the clouds start mooning me or something, I'll conclude that you perfected your weather machine, and will prepare for a rain of mud, or tacos.

We're going through a climate shift. No worrys, happens every 200-400 years. Temperature will rise, some strange weather during the transition stage. No big deal, ya?

Well, no big deal on the geological scale. The Earth doesn't care a whit if it's covered in ice or steamy swampy vegetation.

We might care if if we're living in a post-prime Kevin Kostner movie however.

Yeah, if it hadn't been for global warming my snow would have laster longer. But the sunshine in summer is a nice change to what it used to be like in UK. Um i'm sure it'l get worse before it gets better.

You're assuming that this will be another ice age or some sweltering volcano ridden hell. More than likely it's gonna be another change like the medieval warm period or the little ice age.

Very true, but even a slight temperature change of a few degrees can have pretty severe economic and political repercussions.

Go read the IPCC report, and a few peer-reviewed scientific papers such as the ones it uses as sources, before I tear you into shreds over the Internet.

Go. Now. Before it's too late.

I also might point out that by now we should be coming to the end of the current interglacial, and yet temperatures are still rising.

So people want to handle you nicely, which is commendable, but i'll just say you need to be a little more educated on the topic.

...and see if there's any evidence as to why people are going to and have been telling you to educate yourself further on the problem.
Oddly enough, these will probably satisfy the OP question as to my position.

Oh, and I read the actual report mentioned in that last link you posted. The newspapers blew it up out of proportion, in that it was merely an exploration of a world in which climate change had basically gone critical and we experienced a massive abrupt shift in the next few years, but it still wasn't pleasant reading.
