Listen to this: the Spears's mother has written a book on how to rasie "well-adjusted" Christian children in today's society of loose morals. But with the news of her younger daugters pregnancy, it was "indefinitely canceled." What a joke. Naturally, I can not fully express my opinion in words about the Spears family, excpet that i don't want to know any more of their exploits.

Well I read reports that Jamie Lynn Spears babies daddy is not her teenage boyfriend but an older guy thought to be possibly a producer. Doesn't sound like she is doing any better then her stupid sister.

I'm really having a hard time understanding the fascination we seem to have with human train wrecks. Don't misunderstand me, I share the fascination, I just don't understand it.

We delight in the misfortune of another, then feel guilty for that delight which, in turn plays havoc with our self-esteem causing us to feel yet more delight in the misery of another tormented, yet privileged soul which, in it's turn causes us more guilt and yet another downturn in our own sef-image and so on and so on and so on.

Makes me proud to be human.

I'm sickened by the salivation over how she'll screw up next as well as any dismissal of her as trailer trash, or calling her a whore etc., ad nauseam. I feel terribly sorry for her to some extent and although I recognise she does herself no good I feel her life is out of control and I don't think anyone, from her friends, family, media and general public is doing anything to help her.

I suspect it stems from her break up with Timberlake, here's a girl who won her hero, whose life seemed destined for fairytale success, a life that was derailed utterly in the most personal way. I certainly don't blame Timberlake, life happens, but I'd say she never really recovered and coupled with the enormous media spotlight and sexualisation at an early age means that she never had the chance or choice to lead an ordinary life.

I appreciate what you're saying, but those who have tried to help have gone ignored. She's got money enough to afford counseling the likes of which those who need it even more than she does would kill for. I think she needs to be sequestered for about a year, somewhere very isolated so the press and even she can forget about Britney Spears the celebrity and figure out who the person is.

That said, the likelihood of that happening, while there's still milk in this particular cash cow is infinitesimal. Still and all, as a human being, I hope for some genuine help for her.

its very sad that a woman who would seem to love her children either cant get it together enough to show up for court ordered depositions or is so cluelessly "spoiled" that she doesnt realize that the law applies to her too. so she has now lost all custody and visitation of her children.

its not often that anyone's life is so messed up that they rival the plot of a soap opera. i dont follow the tabloids but i am interested in finding out what happens next.
