Interesting idea. I've though about what would happen if another crusade was called (briefly). I don't think many would take up the call, unless the Pope was killed, or something extreme like that.

I can point out at least two things wrong with that. The first being that you use the words and phrases that make you sound like an idiot. Such as 'bring the combat back to the muslims.' You're acting as if there's been fighting on the streets all over the world! The other thing is this bit : "The choice is simple; fight and live or surrender and die." When it's clearly nothing like that at all. No sane person will make that choice. Nobody is surrendering. Radical islamists will, no, could never wipe out the entire non-islamic population.

Better idea: Withdraw from all our military bases abroad, withdraw from every alliance and international organization we're in, secure (but not militarize) our borders, and pursue more trade and more cultural exchanges with the rest of the world. Oh, and freely trade with all countries, and establish diplomatic relations with the few countries we do not have relations with (Bhutan, Cuba, DPRK, Iran). After that, peace, trade, and cultural exchanges with everyone, friends or enemies with no one.

Considering personal experience, and the fact that I don't know everyone, it's quite likely that people with such opinions exist. They could be a troll, but they could be serious.

I like some of those ideas. However, I think we should militarize the borders and slowly ween ourselves off the teet of foreign nations as far as trade and oil dependence is concerned. We should also stop any cultural and social infringment from any other culture.

I call on all Christians to support a New Crusade against radical Islam. The purpose will be to arm Christian minorities and give training and support so as to form sleeper cells in radical Islamic countries.
The purpose is to open a new front in the war. This front will bring the combat back to the Muslims and the nation states that support radical Islam.

I'm half/half on the matter. Whilst I'm pleased to see no. 3 come out I'm not so pleased with the general design philosiphy, the structure of the game and the way the creators are personifying it and themselves.

If anything it would be a different type of game and could use the franchise name, just not an actual sequal to the two main games.

Well, I lost hope that it'd be another turn based RPG when Black Isle goes down into the waves... then again, Lionheart probably helps in the sinking.

I just hope it'd be like Deus Ex or Fable,... barring that, atleast something like or KOTOR,... I'd even settle for something resembling Mass Effect.

But probably, I'll just play it because of the post-apocalyptic setting and humor reference.

I am a bit curious as to why they made a (seemingly) completely different game with the name when they could have made a the same post-apoc game with a slightly different setting and a different name then saved on the $5m or so they spent acquiring the licence

christ! 40k. I haven't played that in years, i spent far too much money on it, i have a bad habit for imaginative killing sci-fi stuff (i blame the propaganda see rambo, numerous war films like saving private ryan or series like band of brothers, or lord of the rings, or just about any die hard film god i could go on all day but i don't want to waste your time), i've managed to tone down a bit with terry pratchett but that's like switching from Heroine to Methodyne(or methodone, i can't really remember spelling), yes it might help but you still get a massive kick.

Yeah definitely, but there have been so many false starts, changes, etc that I'm a bit skeptical about whether it ever will be released & wary of what the game will eventually turn out like.
