Romney tries to embarrass Hillary Clinton by bringing Monica Lewinsky memories

WASHINGTON - Republican Mitt Romney said Wednesday that if elected president he and his wife will not embarrass the nation by their conduct in the White House as happened in "the Clinton years."

Romney also said that in his comments he was "not referring to anybody, referring to ourselves. We will do our very best to uphold the kind of values that people expect of a White House couple."

The last part of Bill Clinton's second presidential term was dominated by a scandal involving his relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

If he is not referring to anybody, why did he say "the Clintons"?

I am not a fan of Hillary, but this Ronmey guy stinks.

And the world is shocked by a Mormon being holier than thou? I got that every day from the mormon kids at school. It's their thing.

American politics as a rule.......suck. Sorry for the pun.

In all seriousness, if one aspires to be a leader in the US, then they need to make sure they never jaywalk or have homosexual affairs in public bathrooms and everything untowards in between.

This guy is an asswipe for sure.

For once, we agree.

If it's newsworthy, it is thread worthy? Besides, it revolves around your favourite Clinton voodoo doll.

And that means what to me? Nothing.

"We will do our very best to uphold the kind of values that people expect of a White House couple."

unless, of course, the lds receives a revelation that plural marriage is ok again. then, it will be our very best to uphold the kinds of value that people expect of a white house group of 7 or so.

Oh no, they won't let that go. The second he starts to lose out in primaries they'll start yammering about third party entry and on and on...I mean, c'mon, his following comes from the internet, the same place that hasn't let go of lolcats or Chuck Norris...(as a side note, a friend of mine theorized that lolcats would stop being 'funny' five minutes after the last person on Earth gets the internet...)

Why is it that sex is politics in the US? Seriously, I'll never get that... so he fucked the intern. So what? So he lied... as you very well said, he IS a politician, that's part of the job description.

So - we should elect him because he promises he won't get a blowjob? Hell - that's good enough for me. Vote Romney!

...although, why one blowjob is a big deal, when the current president has spent almost a decade fucking the whole country, I'm not sure...

In the press-release, probably. In actually, I believe the current regime's main political 'thrust' can be summed up in the phrase 'bend over and take it'.

Well of course it is "missionary position". Bush has been on a "mission" since he was elected in 2000, and he blew his load prematurely when he announced "mission accomplished" back in 2003.

And since then, he has been on a "mission" to ignore the laws of the land, especially when protecting his base.

Precisely... all the benefit of an inapropriate witticism without actually committing to one.

I ought to get into politics.

Not neccessarily. We at NSG need to hold ourselves at a higher standard than the news media. We are, after all, the arbiters of right and wrong on the interbutts.[/massive epic sarcasm]

I know what kind of values I want a White House couple to abide by... but somehow I doubt that they're Mitt Romney's. :)

This coming from the 'religion' that suddenly had a 'revelation' the day before the passage of the civil rights bill that 'blacks were now equal'.....? Romney pretty much embodied the snake oil salesman conman that Mormonism is all about.... God (literally) help America if you elect him, you'll all be beyond saving... (oh you already are, nvm)
