Oooh, where did you get this list from. Very very few people know about Abkhazia. I don't any other countries even recognise its independence. I have a friend who did some work there. She had to smuggled into the country because Both Russia and Georgia have effectively blockaded the country. And a year later the Russian authorities found out and now she can't get a visa to travel to Russia any more.

It's hard to say where I am "from" as I have bounced around this planet a fair bit. I was born in Long Island, and when I was young, moved to St. Lucia in the Caribbean. After staying there a few years, when I was...7 I think, we moved to Grenada after the intervention. Stayed there many years before moving to upstate NY to attend highschool. After that I was off to new haven, connecticut for college, then cambridge, MA for grad school, and now in Boston.
